Worldmark by Wyndham Took Advantage of Me
I am writing a review to address the egregiously deceptive and predatory tactics I was subjected to by Worldmark by Wyndham Resorts, while suffering through a 3-hour sales pitch. As an Owner of an upgraded contract with Worldmark for nearly a year and a half, I haven’t ONCE been able to book a stay despite repeated attempts. Wyndham salespeople promised so many lucrative benefits that would come with the upgraded timeshare, but they were all lies to persuade me into making a purchase. I never would have bought this upgraded timeshare if I was told the truth about it: which is that it’s a waste of money and impossible to use. The Worldmark by Wyndham Owners should be aware that an “Owner Update” is the same high-pressure sales presentation that you have been through before with a twist. I was promised $500 in Ceasar’s Palace gift certificates, to be received after said “update”. Although my contract was paid off, they kept using high-pressure sales tactics and made general false statements regarding the upgrade of my timeshare. During the hours that I was sitting in the banquet-style conference room with my hungry, irritated, and fidgety 14-month-old son, I repeatedly told the man that I did not want to buy anything, that I needed to leave to care for my son, and that I have three more children back in the room that need to be fed, which kept me under more stress. I rarely used the timeshare because, even when I looked for reservations 6 months in advance, there would rarely be rooms available to fit my family of six. I kept asking to leave, telling them that I had no interest in upgrading my contract, but they refused to listen to me. I was held against my will by these bullies until I signed a contract out of sheer exhaustion and the need to care for my children. The promises made during the sales presentation were not true, and these lies have had a significant impact on my finances. I demand they terminate this contract due to financial hardship caused by deceptive sales tactics and misinformation.
