The T.
Wyndham will pursue your heirs...
We are furious that no one at Wyndham Resorts, will hold themselves or anyone else accountable for lying to us egregiously. Because of the significant violations perpetrated by their salespeople, we have demanded that they terminate our contract at once. From the outset, we were assured that the maintenance fee would be minimal, yet it has increased every year. We have repeatedly, after much harassment and pressure, been forced to attend meetings. Before the last meeting, we decided that we didn't want to increase our points or make any purchases. As the meeting started, we explained to the salesman, that we had no interest in buying anything or adding points. He then told us that when we reached a point where we no longer wanted or could take vacations, the only way to stop making maintenance payments would be to transfer our ownership to our children. We informed him that our children had no interest in taking over our ownership or being responsible for the maintenance fees. He told us this was not an option. He said that if something happened to us, even if we died on the flight home, Wyndham would pursue our children for the mandatory maintenance fees, unless we purchased additional points to protect them. While it is true that Wyndham can pursue our heirs for payments, we learned that increasing our points level or status would not prevent this in any way. When the first payment and the new maintenance fee arrived, we realized that we had been deceived again. The new maintenance fee was nearly four times what the salesperson had claimed it would be!
