I was notified three times by their "carrier" that they had stopped by my residence, but no evidence to that effect exists, for some reason. I have had no responses to my enquiries, and small claims court will be the next step

Between Jenelle by email and Rhonda on the phone, my goodness this was a rather frustrating customer service experience. Jenelle didn't seem to understand I already received the packages associated with my online order which didn't contain part of the order and so, instructed me to wait another 5 days for the packages I already received lol! So, I resorted to a phone call instead. Then Rhonda spent most of our phone call talking to herself and her computer screen, verbally self-reporting her own and the computer's incompetence! Fortunately by some twist of fate, that call was inadvertently disconnected. When I called back, I spoke to Renee who seemingly more competently could understand the issue and much more efficiently set about putting in for a re-ship of the items I haven't yet received. Fingers crossed they get delivered successfully this time! Not sure online orders from World Market are worth this trouble in the future and I don't think I'll be back.

They have absolutely the WORST customer service of any store I have EVER worked with. Their agents and supervisors promise price matches and credits on items, and then once the items are purchased, the price is not matched. I have spent several weeks going back and forth with them, being told my credits were coming and I would be receiving the price match I was promised...over and over! Mike, the brand manager, had proof that I was to receive specific pricing on my chairs and still refused to honor what I was told I would receive. I will NEVER do business with them again...in-store or online! NEVER!!!!!!!

I made a purchase online and their website allowed me to signup for a "membership" to get free shipping and 15% off. The shopping cart applied both so my total was reflected correctly. But when I put in my card details to purchase, it flashed a different price before going through for the higher amount. When I contacted support, they told me there was nothing they could do. Michelle couldn't have cared less. Frustrating the purchase amount changed just as I hit submit. Not a great experience online for sure.

On 21/7 I ordered a Flexi dog leash. On 31/7 I was informed the leash was no longer in stock. On 1/8 I asked for a refund which would take 1-8 days. It's now 21/8 and still no refund. Unfortunately I checked the trustpilot reviews after I bought the leash at World Market. Received refund 28/8/2023

I was charged for items that were not delivered.

This is the worst World Market purchasing experience ever in my 12 years as a customer. I ordered two sets of 2 chairs online, and for anyone who can do math, that's a total of 4 items. When I go to pick it up at their Lynwood location, the lady who handed me my order insisted that it only counts as one order because I picked it up in-person. She said the sale price only works for online order (which I did place online), but since I picked it up, the regular price applies. I'm not sure if the lady was just ignorant or if this is the actual company policy. If what she said is really true, then why was I allowed to check out the items and was even offered an option to pick-up for an extra 15% off? If this is true, the website should restrict me from doing a pick up option since I won't get the sale price if I did. I told her it might be the system's error and it wasn't my fault. She said she's not saying it's my fault, yes you are!! You are refusing to give me the rest of my order because of a computer's error. I have a clear receipt that I ordered two sets and should get four chairs, but she kept insisting that if she gave me the other set then I would be getting the rest for free. WHAT!!???? I clearly paid for all of them, how am I getting the rest for free? By not giving me the rest of my order, you are the ones stealing my money. Absolutely worst!!! It's such a traumatic experience that I don't think I would ever buy anything from World Market ever again. Oh and I still haven't received the rest of my order.

I should have looked up these reviews before placing an order online. I like World Market's products, but there's no way I'm placing on order online, paying $45+ for overnight shipping, and then waiting a full day only to see zero progress on my order. I cancelled, but customer service couldn't have cared less that I was cancelling (didn't offer to make sure my order was processed quickly or anything), and told me it would take another 3-5 business days just to receive an email confirmation of my cancellation (which tells you that they are FLOODED with cancellation requests). Avoid online ordering at all costs!
