Misleading cancellation information in hotel bookings - Watch out
The company engages in misleading practices in their recommended hotel bookings. I had just (in Aug 2026) booked a 2-night stay for Dec 2026 at one of their recommended hotels. As I decided to stay elsewhere, I requested a full refund. Only then I found out that they refund only if cancelled on the same day. This is absurd. Plus they advertise “Fully-Refundable” in big font and only in small font on the restrictions. They later promised me a full refund if I first cancel to free up the room, which I did. Then they went silent. I will give negative stars if I can. [To update, I have since contacted the appropriate manager at the hotel directly and he said all charges are waived. So with that Joy finally agreed to process my refund. But what if I was unable to contact the right person at the hotel? Joy also since indicated they will now display the cancellation policy more prominently in their website.]

Sorry this turned into extra hassle for a booking you made months ahead of your trip. We're reaching out directly about your refund. The Joy Team
