A million times better than a written guestbook. Hearing the voices and emotions of your loved ones is infinitely more powerful than some sloppy writing. We are beyond thrilled with After the Tone. The shipping was seamless and our audio was sent back so quickly. We are just grinning ear to ear listening to the voicemails!

Would not recommend! I had reached out to customer service on 10/08 (my wedding was 10/12) before the phone shipped to ensure that the product would be received because we were rapidly approaching my wedding day. The company assured me that I would receive my product no later than 48-hrs before my event and that due to popularity with the color of phone we chose and the month of our wedding there was a delay. That same night (10/08) I received a shipping confirmation from UPS that the phone will come within 24 hours. On Friday afternoon, I received an update from UPS stating that the package now has a delayed delivery until Monday, my wedding date. I immediately emailed the customer service team the update and let them know that this would be a problem because we would not be home to receive the package. To put it plainly, customer service did not really give me much time to figure out options because there was an initial rush that everything had to be decided before 5 PM when workers were leaving for the day. We ultimately tried to coordinate a worker dropping it off, but due to time constraint, my options quickly became limited to only picking up the product on my actual wedding date at the storefront after they opened or hoping that the package came in time. I had to plead with them on a Friday afternoon for reasonable accommodations because of their poor time management for sending the phones out (also, being that my wedding was 10/12 aka a federal holiday delivery is not guaranteed so we were essentially screwed if we couldn’t pick it up). After much fight (also they would only correspond through email because the man I was dealing with refused to get on the phone with me) and with the California CEO getting involved I was finally able to guarantee the phone would be delivered and received in time. For all who want to ensure they get the product they pay good money for, seek this product elsewhere. Not worth the anxiety and grief for your special day. Plus they decided as compensation for the grief they would throw in the virtual guestbook as a “backup” which is ridiculous considering the phone plus the custom sign bought was $300+ and the virtual guestbook (which takes the entire novelty out) is a $39 add on.

Shannon, we understand that delivery uncertainty before your wedding was stressful, and we’re sorry for that experience. However, several important details are missing from your review, including the outcome: your replacement phone was delivered Saturday morning, October 10, two days before your Monday wedding. An initial UPS delay pushed back the dispatch of your phone. We then shipped it via UPS Next Day Air for arrival three days before your wedding, but UPS delayed that shipment as well. When you reported the delay on Friday at 1:24 p.m., our team offered warehouse pickup within seven minutes, including a discount for the inconvenience. By 1:55 p.m., we had also arranged an employee’s personal delivery for Sunday. You explained that these options did not fit your availability, and we continued exploring alternatives with you. Although warehouse pickup and shipping had afternoon cutoffs, our support did not end at 5 p.m. Our team continued communicating with you until nearly 10 p.m. Eastern. I personally shipped a replacement phone from California on Friday, which was successfully delivered Saturday morning. We also offered a full refund if the phone did not arrive in time, contingent on the equipment being returned. The complimentary Virtual Guestbook was an additional backup while we continued arranging delivery of a physical phone. We received the replacement phone back on October 15 and delivered your recorded voicemails the following morning. We respect your right to describe the stress you experienced. We also believe anyone reading this review deserves the complete timeline: our team offered multiple alternatives, worked well beyond closing, and successfully delivered a physical phone two days before your wedding. What a fun wedding activity! It definitely felt much cooler than a traditional guestbook, and the guests loved it. And listening to them grow increasingly more drunk as the night went on was hilarious. The phone was so cute, the set up easy and convenient, and the overall experience as so fun!

This is the worst service ever! We replaced a guestbook for this and only received .49 seconds of sound most from the night before. There were lines to use the phone and 98% of them are gone!! Forever!

Really the overall experience was very good. They have a very good response time. We lost the return label and they were helpful and kind in the response and actions. Would recommend a returnable or disposable signage to accompany the phone for display purposes ( subtle advertising) but tastefully messaged. This turned out to be a great choice for the occasion! Wish the pricing could be cut a little… competition may bring this. But do keep the corded phone!!! It’s part of the nostalgia. Thankful we did it!
