Although I loved the ease of the website to set up for my wedding, I found that there were some complications. Uploading the photo was a bit tasky. The website for guests to gift money was also complicated. Also, you guys trick people, so some of them accidentally bought a 5$ e-card when they didn't mean to. Setting up my bank was also difficult. Everything about the registry was bad.

I consider is a great platform for creating web pages (reasonable templates, layouts and designs), managing RSVP and contacts. For destination weddings or international couples, its a great platform. Even though, there are some points that could be better, for example, the tags and their management. They say that the tags are good to separate invitees but they show up when they shouldn't. If I select RSVP only for list A, people on List B shouldn't be able to input their name on RSPV page, even though, they appear and is confusing.

The worst wedding website and registry service. I never wrote reviews but I am so angry by this god awful website. The joy registry is garbage. Half of my gifts either didn't go through or were "out of stock" so we lost on money. Not to mention the external registries just don't work. And their customer service is garbage. None of my guests understood the website and everything was glitchy even using the template.

We used this for our wedding. While the service is helpful for managing contacts and sending invitations it is awful for registry items. First, the promotional codes they give you in exchange for items they were unable to ship are not easy to use. I have been trying to use it for months. Second, for some returns that are allowed to be exchange for cash, it has also taken months to get the money transferred to my accounts. From the perspective of having to link external registries, if you change a single item on an external registry, you have to delete the entire registry on Joy and then re-add it, otherwise you will get duplicates. Last, the customer service takes at least 24 hours to get back to you so working the issues has proven a huge pain. Oh, and the selection is not as good or as well priced as you'd find elsewhere.

⭐ 1-Star Review — Extremely Disappointing Hotel Booking Experience We used Joy because their hotel booking service was recommended through the bride and groom’s wedding website. The wedding dates were October 25–27, and when we clicked on the wedding dates through Joy to make our reservation, the booking was automatically populated with the incorrect dates of October 24–26. When we realized the error and contacted Joy, they would not correct the original reservation or allow us to cancel the incorrect night. This means we are being forced to pay for October 24 even though we will not even be arriving until October 25. Even worse, we need to stay the night of October 26, the actual wedding night. Joy told us they could add that Saturday night, but instead of the approximately $173 rate we had booked, they wanted to charge us $501 for that one night. We are now stuck paying for a night we don’t need, and because we are not willing to pay $501 for the wedding night, we have to check out on the day of the wedding and move to another hotel for one night. This has been incredibly frustrating, expensive, and inconvenient. We trusted the booking link provided through the wedding website and expected the dates we selected to be the dates that were actually reserved. I would not use Joy for hotel accommodations again. I strongly recommend booking directly with the hotel and carefully confirming your reservation dates rather than relying on Joy’s automated booking system.

I wanted to purchase an item off registry and put it in my cart. It took it off the registry but never allowed me to pay for it or have it delivered. But it was showing as purchased and removed from the registry. Trying to use the chat was a total waste of time. So I replied to the confirmation email I received, that person was just as bad. She kept asking if having a human to help me would be better and I said YES and then she instructed me to use the chat - WTF!!!! Do not use them!!! They suck!!!!!

Couldn’t process a payment made through their website registry. Awful customer service. Stay away!

They are a total fraud. I booked a hotel through the website. First, I discovered they charged me 3x the normal rate. Then I called the hotel to confirm the room and make a massage appointment. Guess what: they had no reservation for me. Joy never booked it. Now the hotel is sold out. I would have arrived to no room if I hadn't thought to check. Now Joy is refusing to refund me even though I literally have no room. They just keep saying you have a room with zero proof even after the hotel has also emailed them and me together to say I have no reservation and to provide the confirmation. Now they have stopped responding. They are trying to keep my money with no reservation made. This site is a criminal operation. I'm also checking now to see that my gifts are truly being sent....I doubt it. This is a total scam --BUYER BEWARE!! Never use! Wedding disaster in the making for all your guests and you!
