Signed up to try the app and cancelled after a few weeks and before the end of the first month. They took $45 from me for month 2 because they still had my "ebook subscription" was still active. This was not visible on their website under subscriptions. Avoid at all costs! Just a way to scam people after the trial
Response from WiseyFeb 12, 2026
Dear Donal! We’re very sorry to hear about your experience and understand your frustration. Subscription management can sometimes be confusing when multiple services are involved, such as an active ebook subscription, and we regret that this was not clear on our site. Please contact us at [email protected] so our team can review your account and help clarify or resolve any unexpected charges. We want to ensure that all users are treated fairly and that any errors are corrected promptly. Your feedback is valuable, and we appreciate you bringing this to our attention!

This company engages in misleading and potentially unlawful sales practices. I paid £9.99 for a product, clearly presented as a one-time charge. After payment, I was taken to a deliberately confusing and excessively long page where the skip option was hidden. By clicking “next,” I was charged an additional $17.99 for an unwanted e-book without clear consent. My refund request was refused. This resembles a classic bait-and-switch and the use of dark-pattern design intended to trick consumers. I would strongly advise avoiding this company. Later edit: the initial refund request was declined. Then they offer to give me back 50%. After exchanged 11 emails with them and telling them I contacted Competition and Markets Authority, they refunded me the full amount of money. Still I would not recommend them, they are just scamming people with their product
