I've had a great experience with WinHost. I've tried other windows shared hosting providers and none offer the ease of use winhost have provided. No complaints this far!

Thanks Michael, we're glad you call Winhost home.

I use the WinHost services to serve my customers since 2011 and their service is excellent: high availability, acceptable speed, low price and support with quick response. I love them!!!

The time on answering issues is awesome. The up time and overall experience has been very good. The only short point is the documentation is not up to par. It is really sketchy in areas. Also, should include a way to put your site out there in test mode. I had to use IIS to exclude all users. This was annoying to have to reset everytime I deployed.

Thanks Janet. Staging would be a cool feature. It's not something that's in our development pipeline because it isn't requested very often. As for documentation, we have 250 Knowledge Base articles (https://support.winhost.com/kb/c215/winhost.aspx) and a community forum (http://forum.winhost.com/), but if there's something you couldn't find information for, just let us know and we'll fill in that gap.

I signed up for WinHost and cancelled the very same day when I found that you couldn't host more than one domain without doing some advanced (unsupported) customization to your domain configuration. I have unsubscribed and submitted support tickets to remove me from their mailing list numerous times and I still get emails multiple emails a month from them asking me how I like my service. This most recent email was asking for my opinion, so here you go. They get one star because they did actually refund my money. Now, if only they would leave me alone.

Hi JS. Sorry about that. You got that 60 day follow up email from us because, although your hosting account was canceled, you still have an active paid service with us. But the 60 day is the last follow up we do, so you won't get any more email. It's never our intention to bug you. Sorry.

the online services to manage a website are great, but really lacking a live customer service representative to talk to and ask questions.
Response from WinhostJun 23, 2015
Hello Victoria. Yes, we do the majority of technical support via email (though support will make outbound calls on a ticket if they think phone contact would be more expedient). We use email rather than phones for reasons of efficiency and effectiveness. We know that there are times when people might prefer to pick up the phone rather than write an email. But if you open a ticket or drop us an email when you have a question I think you'll find that our support staff is quick to respond.

We have only been a Winhost customer for a short time, but so far we have had a good experience.
Response from WinhostJun 23, 2015
Thanks Dennis, we'll do everything we can to make sure your experience continues to be good.

Hosting is good. Plans are competitively priced. Shared hosting can be a little slow at times, but that's not unexpected from a shared hosting plan. My only real complaint is that their admin utilities could be beefed up a bit. They are not always intuitive, and lack some of the fine grain controls that I would see on other hosts.
Response from WinhostJun 19, 2015
Thanks Lewis. If you have suggestions or requests for Control Panel features, send them to [email protected]. We log all requests and try to implement the things that are requested often.
