Simplicity of download & installation.

Easy to do a Quick will, if you want a placeholder for going on vacation or something, but not a substitute for a will drafted by an attorney. Within the first few minutes of using the software, I found an error. The instructions for a Vermont will say the testator and the witnesses are required to initial every page of the will. Not required by law and three initials on every page might be legally confusing. Although not required, not a bad idea for the Testator to initial every page, but it is not legally required: 14 V.S.A. § 5 Execution of will; requisites (a) A will shall be: (1) in writing; (2) signed in the presence of two or more credible witnesses by the testator or in the testator’s name by some other person in the testator’s presence and by the testator’s express direction; and (3) attested and subscribed by the witnesses in the presence of the testator and each other.

I find all NOLO publications very useful and easy to understand

Program was easy to install and use. Lots of in program aids and information. I also liked that I could easily integrate previous work done in an earlier program version. An excellent value.

Ease of doing it & cost I did not have to go to a lawyers office

Prompts were appropriate & easy to follow/understand. Made the process quick & gave me a sense of relief when finished! Total experience certainly worth the reasonable cost. Thank you.

I feel the step-by-step features offered by Willmaker makes the process much simpler than I expected. I completed the process in less than a day. It is important to be prepared as much as possible. However, "step-by-step" will definitely aid with the preparation process by asking relevant questions.
