This was our second order with Wild Idea Buffalo, and both orders have been great! Shipping from South Dakota to Appalachia worked well, and even though the travel time was a couple days, the dry ice kept the meat frozen rock hard all the way. Packaging was clean, clearly marked and easy to pop in the freezer when it arrived. We've enjoyed buffalo from other vendors over the years, and must say that the flavor of the Wild Idea buffalo is among the very best we've tasted. We will definitely be ordering more in the future. Package arrived a day earlier than tracking stated. I followed the cooking guide and generally I broil steaks medium rare. I decided to follow the guide and pan fry, which I have never done with large cuts of meat before. The end result was perfect, great taste, tender and the flavor was fantastic. This experience will certainly mean I will be a repeat customer. I also plan to order some gift boxes for the holidays.

Wild Idea Buffalo provides bison raised naturally on the plains from birth to harvest. Healthier for the bison (you can taste it) and healthier for the natural healing of the plains. It is so lean that it cooks more quickly. The flavor is so amazing that we no longer buy any beef, even organic beef, or other grain-finished bison both of which we ate before. And it is so nutrient rich that we actually save money because we are fully satisfied with smaller portions. Customer service is great, shipping quick and bundles along with any items purchased with them ship for free.. .

Their customer service has been outstanding and the quality of every cut we have tried has been great. I wouldn't take away any stars for this, but the packaging sometimes isn't sealed as tightly as I might like. However, that's absolutely the only complaint, and it's quite minor. We're so happy to have found a company with great values and an environmentally responsible business model. Tatonka!
