Wild Idea Buffalo is unlike any other meat company. We began with a vision of actually improving the eco-system of the Great Plains. Our buffalo are raised on the wide open spaces of South Dakota where they eat only the native grasses beneath their feet. They spend their whole lives roaming freely on thousands of acres, and never see a feedlot or slaughterhouse. The result is better lives for the bison, the restoration of over 100,000 acres of the prairie, and sweet, delicious red meat that is actually good for you. Not such a wild idea after all!

I ordered a bundle...loved the selection, especially liked the free shipping. It came quickly, packaged to keep it fresh. I didn't get two items, but received a refund within moments of calling them. What I 've eaten from this purchase...and prior purchases...was excellent. I prefer the ground meat and sausage items and have not been disappointed.

We waited to write a review until we had tried both products. We ordered the ribeye and ground buffalo package. We have now sampled both and we just don't have enough adjectives to describe how tasty it was. I think the yums and moans could be heard from North Carolina out to South Dakota!! Absolutely delicious!! We try to eat as healthy as we can, so we were very happy to find a great source for buffalo. We will definitely order again.

I HAVE EATEN MANY DIFFERENT BISON MEATS AN I MUST SAY I FEEL THAT WILL IDEA HAS THE BEST FAVORET AS WELL AS THE TENDERNESS. I LIVE THE IDEA THAT THESE ANIMALS GET TO ROAM FREE TO GRAZE. WAS VERY HAPPY WITH MY ORDER. I WOULD LIKE TO MAKE A SUGGESTION. I ORDERED THE GROUN MEAT TO SMALL OF AMOUNT IN PACKAGE. WOULD LIKE TO SEE A LARGER AMOUNT TO COOK. JUST WANTED YOU TO KNOW. I haven't tried the meat yet - and I hope it's good. When it arrived, it had thawed, because Fed Ex put it on the wrong truck and held it an extra day. I couldn't use it immediately, but put it in the freezer to re-freeze it without opening it; I hope it's still okay. I have enjoyed the meat in the past so I'm sure I will enjoy this order.

Honesty is the best policy: research before you buy. I read an article in the Star Tribune about Wild Idea Buffalo, and then I went to their website. I had previously been wanting to purchase Bison/buffalo to supplement the meat in our house because it's hormone, etc, free and a great source of iron (I'm a female athlete, huge need of iron here). I checked out quite a few options on Wild Idea Buffalos product page, and chose a variety pack. After receiving the box, with freezer packs just as stated would come, I plopped them still frozen meat into the freezer. My first product to eat, I chose the ground buffalo as I was craving nachos. If you know anything about buffalo, and how it SHOULD taste, this is what you want to buy. This is spot on amazing, and you're sent recipes in case you need inspiration. I'm very excited to make the steaks on the grill, as well as make an awesome game day hot dog and burger for baseball season. Research why you should choose Wild Idea Buffalo, they treat their animals humanely, and it's such a fantastic feeling knowing the animals live naturally, and when it came time, the animal didn't suffer. Life long customer right here, I might need a bigger freezer to stay stocked up.

The meat is, as always awesome. The shipping issue I've had the past two ties I've ordered, have left me wondering. But the issue has been, to my knowledge, resolved, so my future orders will be shipped by another shipper. Pleased with meat and customer service regarding issues in shipping.
