Battery life blues
What started out as something we were loving for our pup, is turning into what might end up letting me down. I received our Whistle GO a few weeks ago, and was impressed when the battery lasted 10-12 days (I forget exactly how many) until we recharged it and within a few days had to charge it again. So I charged it this morning and within just a few hours it’s already at 75% and the day isn’t even over yet. I don’t mind charging a device but when the website says an expected window of time, of at least a week, why am I losing battery life in just a matter of days? The original charge legit dropped so slowly. I’m confused and agitated. Also, there have been some confusing glitches with the APP as well.

Hi Marina, I am so sorry to hear that your Whistle tracker is having battery issue. Based on primary research it looks like pet is staying out of WiFi for around 25% of the time in a day, which definitely impact battery. You may refer to below link which will help you to understand best ways to conserve device battery. https://support.whistle.com/what-affects-my-battery-life-BJjQzDkY8 A battery test will help determine if the issue you're experiencing is due to the tracker losing the connection to the WiFi router, and the best way to see this in the logs is if the tracker spends a significant amount of time close to the router without any interference. To perform the battery test, can you please ensure the tracker is fully charged, then remove it from the charge and place it 5-10 feet from the router? Also make sure it is at an even height to the router and there is nothing between the tracker and router to interfere with the signal. Then leave the tracker in place for at least 8 hours, preferably overnight when you can be sure your pet stays safe. Once the test is complete, please dock the tracker on the charger again for about a minute and then reply to this email to let me know the test is complete. I can then run a diagnostic on the logs for the tracker and see the results of the test to determine our next step. Thank you so much for your cooperation, and please let me know if you have any questions!
