I have had this product for five years. Here is the net: it sucks! Cant find a phone number to call on website. If dog gets
Out it is 20 mins before it connects. Poor product. Spend another $500 to $1000 and get something that works all the time.

Ok product, terrible customer service
This company has terrible customer service, and their policies are extremely dishonest. A year ago I reported a device missing and they continued to charge for a whole year of a subscription on a device I did not have. Even though I have original copies of the email stating the device was gone, and they can confirm that the device had no tracking data for the past 12 months, they refuse to refund their mistake.

HORRIBLE connection, works half the time
In concept it’s great and ok when it actually works, but it SUCKS for service and RARELY works when we need it to!! We live in a *slightly* rural area and we have highly escape oriented dogs (we have fulll surround 5 ft high fencing and one always finds a new way to jump out). I always have at least 3 out of 5 or 4 out of 5 cell reception bars and no issue with my cell. But whenever one of our dogs escapes, Whistle always says it’s trying to activate GPS and literally 15 minutes goes by and nothing! It times out and can’t track them!! By that point my dog can be 2 miles away hit by a car or attacked by a coyote or in such a remote area i’m not going to be able to get them. It SUCKS and i’m so fed up with their crap connection they blame on everything else. I’ve been a customer for years with both new and old devices (bought 4 now) and it’s gone way down hill. DONT BUY. Try Track it or another service - i’m switching.

Weak straps, keep getting lost, poor customer service
We’ve had the whistle tracker for about 8months, the strap design is so flimsy, it kept getting lost. We’re unable to find it this time - the proximity meter is very very weak. On the website it says to contact the support team in case you struggle to find it and all they said was they can’t help us and the warranty does not cover loss. The app is ok hence why 2stars but save yourself a lot of money and get more solid tracker.

Third Whistle in less than two years
Customer support is sending me my 3rd Whistle as they keep malfunctioning. Expedited shipping is not an option, so we will be hitting the trail without a fully functioning device. And while this is my 3rd Whistle in 2 years, getting a refund for my last replacement is not an option either, as it has been longer than 30 days. Quality appears to be suffering, not a business trying to develop raving fans either. You could be in for an ok experience, or a problematic experience that will have you wishing you tried a different device. Best of luck!

Good tracking, everything else is terrible
The basic function of the product is great. We have them for our 3 dogs. Setting them up is a mess worh confusing errors and connection problems and support is basically nonexistent. We regret choosing whistle but now that it’s all finally working, we are kind of stuck with it.

Waiting to be contacted
I can't give an honest review, I have not discussed the issue with anyone yet.

Fatal Flaw in latest collar, wifi issue
First, I am long term customer, 9 years and various iterations of their trackers. Their Newest iteration of collar has FATAL FLAW. The alert notification of when you pet is 'out' will not sound until the device is outside the range of your wifi signal. No one, well 95% of the users, has a range that is bigger than their wifi range. Even cheap isp provider wifi routers send signals for 1/4 mile in each direction. The 'safe zone" (area where when you pet gets outside it, alert is sent) is smaller than wifi range. I tried to work with their customer service, their solution was to 'turn off your wifi signal', right.. I asked them if they could just disconnect the tracker from wifi, but they said it would not work properly. Their other solution was to wait until they have a fix, for which they have no eta. Whomever in this company was responsible for rolling this out should be, and probably already was, fired. This is likely to cost them their business. I moved on to another brand, tryfi. There are others too, but Whistle is not now an option. Plus, their customer service has always been poor, but now is literally terrible; rude and unhelpful. I am sure the agents are over it, dealing with such a huge eff up.
