I love the feeling of security the Whistle3 gives me. The only "negative" is that the device is too big for our small Mini Schnauzer, in my opinion. She weighs about 14 pounds and has a small neck. I knew that would probably be the case but am dealing with it because of the pease of mind factor. Our Mini Schnauzer can be an escape artist if there is something she is interested in outside her yard. We live on a lake with alligators and are quit close to a busy street. The most recent time she "went on an unsupervised adventure"she was 1/2 to 1/4 mile from home when someone called me. That scared me out of my mind so that's the reason I researched (quite extensively by the way) and chose this device. Thank heavens it has not been necessary to go find her since she has had it on but I truly appreciate the peace of mind it gives me. Our past experiences with dogs getting out (and sadly drowning in our lake) have made me very paranoid about her escaping. Thank you for engineering and marketing this device. Now please go to work on making it smaller and I would buy another one. Maybe a 'trade-up' program might be considered because I can't believe I'm the only user who might appreciate a smaller device with all of the same features. Just saying ........

Purchased this for my dog several month ago. I's a little-less chance to control him just because he literary can't be on the horizon while walking outside without collar.

Be sure and check the coverage in your area before purchasing a Whistle 3. I am at work most of the day and my office is apparently outside their network because I can’t check my devices location throughout the day. The only time I can check on my dog is when I am on my lunch break, but if something happens when I am at work without service, what is the point?

I would recommend Whistle to anyone that wanted peace of mind of where their dog was at, at all times. I live in the country and my lab/doberman mix loves to go on adventures in the woods without me, chasing deer. After a few times of her being gone a couple hours and worrying myself to death, I decided to look into different tracking devices for her. After looking at a few, I found that Whistle seemed to be the best one. I contacted their customer support and was just amazed at how nice they were from the start and answered all my questions (and I had a lot). The Whistle attaches very securely to my dogs collar, so I'm not worried about it coming off even when she's going through the brush in the woods. It sends me texts and emails when she leaves her boundary area that I have set for her. I have Verizon phone service and it works great with it. I would highly recommend Whistle to anyone looking for an excellent tracking device!!

I feel better knowing my dog can be found before she gets into any danger. The Whistle tracker is easy to take on and off the collar to charge and easy to pop onto the base to charge. The battery never goes below 85% but she hardly ever goes outside the zone. Easy app to track her activity and alerts to notify me if she's on the move. Changing the zone when traveling for extended period of time is easy too. Just love it!

Thanks to the tracker, every time my Houdini dogs escape, I know exactly where to find them. I was beside myself when I found how far they traveled.

I bought this product after my Dog was found from being lost in the woods for 6 days. After having the Whistle for only a week it fell off the collar, customer service was great in helping get it back, and also getting the pouch that now attaches it better to the collar.

This is the second tracker that I have owned. The first worked was a Tractive, but the ATT network changed and it would no longer work. I have a 17 year of blind dog that wanders away from home if he is not constantly watched. So far, the Whistle has been very good and sends alerts if he leaves the safe area. As a bonus, it tracks his activity. It is of interest to me, but not the reason I purchased the tracker. Overall, it is very easy to use and the attachment to his collar is very secure. I highly recommend it.
