My dog was recently diagnosed with central blindness. Having lived on a farm her whole life, she was used to a fair amount of freedom. After her diagnosis, I didn’t want to completely take her freedom away, but I also worried about her losing her bearings and wandering off. After doing a fair amount of research into tracking devices, I came upon the Whistle 3 and decided to give it a try. I can honestly say that so far I have been very impressed! I’m not a very tech-savy person, but the app was super easy to install and use, and has many neat functions, even outside of notifying me when she wanders out of her safe zone. I’m starting to wish I had the Whistle years ago to track all the fun excursions we went on together! I also appreciate that I can get text alerts in addition to the notifications through the app; I do not have a smart phone, so that allows me to run the app through a tablet, but still receive notifications on my phone when I’m away from the tablet.. My one and only complaint is the short battery life - I have very weak wifi, so her Whistle has to run primarily off of cellular, which I’m sure is why I have to charge it about every 1.5-2 days. But I do appreciate that I can adjust the duration between updates to conserve battery life if I’d like. Overall, I’ve been very impressed and would definitely recommend this tracker!

Slow to update and the battery life is very short.

I love Whistle! I have one dog that really like to roam the woods and farm fields around our area, especially if he chases some wildlife. Whistle makes it easy to know exactly where he is. I've only been using it for a few days but so far the battery life is excellent. Customer service is great too as I broke the collar attachment and they quickly sent me a replacement.

Our service rep Andrew keeps making excuses about our non working whistle. We bought it in January directly from Whistle. It’s 4 months old and not working at all. I’ve been communicating with Andrew all week and all I get is excuses. It’s ATT’s fault, your Whistle is over a year old - not true. I have tried and tried to just get them to fix my device. I do not recommend this product because they will not stand behind the product they sell. Very bad customer experience.

I tried to order it on the app and it didn't go through for some reason. I was supposed to get free expedited shipping through the app. When I realized it didn't go through, I ordered it through the website and had to pay for expedited shipping. I'm hoping this order will go through without problems! The product is great. I have one for my dog, now buying one for my daughter's dog.

I love Whistle. It has given me peace of mind for years for my huskies and other adventuresome dogs! The only beef I have about it is the attachment just does not seem to be really secure. Twice I have bought the latest model, only to have them come off the collar within a few days. Granted my dogs are playing a lot but in 7 years I have not had this problem. However, customer service is second to none so I am still hanging in there. They are super people and very responsive in fixing an issue. Cannot say enough good things about them
