Told them I didn't want a certain prescription. My neighbor went to pick up a different one for me, and they made her take it. It was $35 for a laxative I don't even need. I told them I would return it, and they said I couldn't.
This is the 3rd prescription they have made people take that I told them I didn't want or need and to restock. I would go myself, but just got home from the hospital.
I will never use or recommend Walgreens to anyone.

Worked almost 3 years and was terminated...
Worked almost 3 years and was told because I was late (which they tracked down over months) and was told to terminate my employment without giving me any discipline or write ups. As for me, I have to have a second job and I am continuing my education full time in school and I was doing 10 hour shifts full time. They didn't take anything into consideration and decided because i was late, it was considered "stealing companies time". The policy states if you go over the maximum times you are late, you get write ups or it goes into determination. I never got a single write up or discipline since I worked there and I never met this HR person a single day in my life working there... They also decided to do it during holiday season, I mean 2 days after Christmas, to terminate my employment, which means it will be super difficult to be hired anywhere this time. They also stated they had to do the same to people who even worked there for as long as 10 years. It's a shame a company does this, I would hire someone who is late but knowingly gets the job done rather than someone who is always on time that is behind or doesn't do anything. HR doesn't even bother with your explanations, they are just like "we got you on camera, you were LATE". I totally understand on disciplining or terminating people who don't care, but I legit had explanations and I legit put in effort when I came in to work such as doing overtime, changing my schedule as needed or working faster if I come in. I always worked hard when I was in the building and on the clock even though the job was lacking innovation and quality, I even offered the idea to work from home since about 90% my work is just on the computer, and about 10% is actually dealing with inventory. But, I was shot down the idea, even though I live an hour away from work... All in all, work is not too bad if you are a perfect minded robot working in an industrial machine. No longer how long you work hard or how long your length is, you are just as equal to someone who is never working or doesn't care to do anything while on site.
Waited on line at a drive through pharmacy of Walgreens at 8801 W Commercial Blvd in Tamarac, had made an appointment in the morning after going through all of the individual stores from Boca to Fort Lauderdale to find a Covid test. No one has the home kits either, good planning retailers. I show up early wait on line for 40 minutes to be told to go home that they cannot verify my appointment. I had my email confirmation and still they said since their system had gone down there was nothing they could do but take my number and maybe call me tomorrow. This company has no business being able to provide testing or vaccines based on their utter incompetency. This was the only place I could get an appointment or not as it turned out. I think it is very unreasonable to trick people into coming to your store by setting up false appointments. I am not sure who gives them the authority to do this but if I find out I am going to complain to them as well. Very poor way to treat really sick people. Shame on you Walgreens!

even corporate escalations doesn't help
i ordered something online, 12 hours later discovered that walgreens.com is charging TWICE AS MUCH as anyone else. i called to cancel and they refused to let me cancel saying it had shipped already (which it had not). i called their corporate office a week later (still no package even tho they continued to insist it had shipped) and corporate escalations did nothing. so i did the only thing i could which was file a dispute to my bank for the charges. no product received. i then got an email from corporate escalations telling me that since i filed a dispute with my bank i am no longer welcome to correspond with walgreens about this matter. now after 2 weeks more the package has finally arrived and i want to RETURN IT to walgreens. i called corporate, told them to send me a return label, and i will cancel the dispute with my bank if they allow me to return the items. THEY ARE STILL REFUSING TO ALLOW ME TO RETURN THE ITEMS. even tho i offered to cancel the bank dispute. they told me to stop trying that they won't speak to me because i disputed the charges. i'm just trying to do the right thing here - walgreens corporate really sucks, even for someone like me just trying to be honest.

Bad Flu Shot Experience
My wife and I went into Walgreens at around 4:30 pm today to get a flu shot. We were first asked if we had an appointment and we told the young lady at the counter we did not , based on their website, we understood that Walgreens accepted Walk-ins and they gave free flu shots. There were no other customers other than us. She told us they do but they prefer not to do vaccinations in the evenings because they are trying to clean up before closing. The store was still open until 9pm. She begrudgingly said they would go ahead and take us and began asking us for our information. She then asked for our insurance card and when we gave her our CHP card she told us they did not accept State of Florida Healthcare insurance. She said if we still wanted to get the shots it would cost around $45 each. At that point we left and went about a half mile down the road to CVS where they were extremely friendly, more than happy to give us our shots, never asked us for insurance information and made it the pleasant experience we were hoping for. They explained the difference in our shots since I was over 65 and my wife wasn't and answered every question that we asked, neither one of us having ever gotten a flu shot before. There was no charge for the shots. This is not the first negative experience we've had at Walgreens and we will be a lot more likely to use CVS in the future.

Dec 23.
email from hospital indicating prescription at local Walgreens pharmacy, to be taken prior to my upcoming outpatient procedure 12/27.
Dec 24
Went to local Walgreens pharmacy... unannounced closure Dec 24-25-26. Store is open, pharmacy closed.
Ok, find a 24 hour Walgreens. Called it, left on hold 3X then disconnected 3X. Total on hold maybe 90 minutes.
So decided to drive there instead.
Pharmacy assistant briefly looked for the prescription, but reported there was no record of me in Walgreens computer system. Not by name of birth date or phone number. Got it; an incompetent clerk. He did share the records of a different pharmacy customer with a $999 prescription that insurance didn't cover. Whoa, the first 3 letters of our last names were the same, and he's showing me the screen. Other person's name and prescriptions shared with me. Privacy breach. Then while I was still talking, this clerk started talking to person behind me. It's likely all on video.
Wow.
Plan B. Call the hospital. The on call doctor sent a new prescription to local King Soopers pharmacy for Dec 26 pickup. Problem solved.
As a 100% permanently disabled Vietnam veteran exposed to agent orange, my prescriptions come from the VA... all but 1. An honest mistake by the hospital, and impossible/incompetent mistake by Walgreens.
Hopefully I can save you the hassle and stress of dealing with Walgreens.

Lack of Service
A FedEx package was scheduled to arrive at 3251 FREEDOM DR on 12/6/21. I am disabled. It is inconvenient to get there. But, I walked the mile. While I waited for delivery I figured I'd get a Covid-19 booster. I was told I needed to have an appointment, even though there were 8 people in the store and 6 of them were employees. After 4 hours, 3 FedEx drivers & no package for me I walked home. On 12/8/21 I received a message that my package was delivered and signed for at 3251 FREEDOM DR. When I got a ride on 12/12/21 and went to get my package I was told they don't have it. I filed an inquiry. On 12/13/21 I was told I could "receive a refund or a free replacement". On 12/15/21 I was told "Please be assured that all the facts of this matter have been documented and forwarded to management for review. A member of management will reach out to you within two business days.". In the past 11 days I have reached out to them 8 times. I realize it is the Christmas season and they are busy. But, I expected, at the very least, a follow-up communication indicating their intentions or saying they are still working on it. I have not heard another word from them in those 11 days.
