Horrifying Experience
Horrifying experience. Flew across the country to pick up my wife and drive her from Virginia to Camp Pendleton. Used Wag to get Colt boarded while I was gone. Two days in I received a phone call from a random stranger asking me if my dog was missing. The boarder lost Colt and didn't bother to mention it to anyone. Colts name tag with phone number might've saved his life that day. I forwarded the contact information of the Good Samaritan who found Colt to the boarder. She eventually responded and retrieved our dog. Of course, we asked Wag to please transfer him to another boarder. When the second boarder received Colt he said he had fresh not-so-shallow cuts across his his head, fresh cut wounds behind d his ear, an eye filled with blood and a piece of his right ear missing. We did not find out he was hurt until we got back from Virginia and saw the scabs and still-bloody wounds. We took Colt to the emergency room immediately. Four hours later. Diagnosis: Sceleral Hemorrhage in the right eye. They gave us antibiotics and prescribed a cone to keep him from hurting himself. We reported all of this to Wag. We also reported over $50 in toys that were never returned to us. At first, they absolved themselves of any responsibility and told us that the matter was between us and the boarders. After several days of fighting and getting transferred to a vast multitude of representatives, they offered to pay us back for five of the boarding days and filed a claim. Yesterday Wag transferred funds to pay for the cost of emergency visit. But instead of comp'ing the five days as promised, Wag pulled about $200 from our account to pay for the boarding fees, completely disregarded the $50 in toys and have not answered the phone despite several calls per day. The worst part of all this: It has been nearly a month and Colt still seems to be traumatized by whatever happened to him. He's not the same anymore.
