This company is not worth you putting the well-being of your animals in jeopardy. Since signing up to have drop in visits for our puppy, I would say we have had one or two people cancel on us every single week. This week alone, we’ve had people cancel two days in a row. I even came home to poop in my apartment – which the person was supposed to clean up but clearly didn’t. Every single time we contact them, there’s always some excuse. In the case of me finding a poop in my apartment, Wag said that male walkers can’t be counted on to clean up as well. I mean what kind of double standard is that?! People who sign up to drop in on your dog or walk the dog don’t get fined money for canceling so people just cancel five minutes before they’re supposed to show up. Then you’re left scrambling to try to find someone while your dog has to pay the price as well. Save yourself the hassle and don’t use this company. And to startup people, start something like Wag to give them competition but make it actually work!

Wag does not handle customer service or dog safety issues well at all. I had an issue with a walker who dropped my keys through a hole in my deck because she took them with her (which she should not have done according to Wag policy). This meant she and the dogs were then locked out of the house, as was my dog sitter who was scheduled to stay with the dogs for the night (not through Wag). My dogs were also with someone I didn't know and not in my home while I was in another state. Incredibly scary! This error incurred $180 in total costs to me for paying my dog sitter, paying for overnight boarding at another facility, alternate food for my dogs and replacement keys. After an initial good and concerned call with someone who promised to make it right that day, Way made me contact them almost a dozen times for the next 6 weeks! They were repeatedly unresponsive to my email, and I had only one person to manage the process with, Rae, who never got back to me. When they finally decided to pay me AFTER 6 WEEKS of following up, they did it through a Bill.com app which they at first forgot to send to my email. Once the email was sent, I had to spend over 15 minutes logging into a app and giving them sensitive personal and banking information - they even wanted a SSN! Why can't you just use a normal electronic payment process like Zelle or Paypal, Wag?! Or send a check. Beyond frustrating, and I'll try to avoid using them whenever I can.

Don’t work for this company and don’t hire them. Save yourself the trouble and stress that their lack of responsibility can give you. Here’s why. In the state of California, Wag states that they are not liable for any damages or injuries caused to and by the customer and the walker. They not only provide terrible service by not helping an injured walker who walked and allegedly got bitten by my dog, they also refuse to help me as the customer get information to help with a claim that is now filed against me and my renters insurance. The walker had to cover her medical bills without any help from Wag and now we are dealing with this claim and wag has not gotten back to us to help with any questions. To simplify this, if you’re a walker who care about your liability and you’re a dog owner who wants to make sure your dog and you are insured in the event of an accident, FIND ANOTHER COMPANY who is more responsible and will provide detailed information regarding liability, insurance coverage and proper customer service!

I’ve been using this service for my new 6 year old dog for almost a month now and I absolutely love it! It’s a great way to improve the social skills of my dog with different people. I use the weekly walk service with a different walker. You can sign up for the same walker but it does cost more. No issues with the app or service or walkers so far! I highly recommend using it!

Use Rover... Wag is Not Good- Sends different walkers every time so the initial meet and greet is pointless. Their app has a lot of bugs too making it very annoying. Use Rover. Way better.

I'm a Wag! Walker and I do enjoy working for this company, but I've received a couple faulty reviews with no explanation, so I assume maybe those were in regards to wag itself and not necessarily me. I've encountered some pretty iffy dogs in regards to aggression, as well as lack of training, and I do feel owners should be screened a bit more, and if incidents happen regarding being bitten or extreme pulling that shouldn't be brought back upon the walker. There are definitely dogs I don't walk more than once because of those said items. Now, wag isn't all bad! It's nice being paid weekly, though wag taking 40% does seem like a lot. I've been working since October or November to get extra money since financially I'm not doing the greatest, but I'm making it. My regular customers are always phenomenal and always reach out to me to schedule more walks, and 99% of the time I'm able to take them. Those are my FAVORITE walks. The consistency is great for both me and their dog/s. I will say, most recent update has made the period of time from owners requesting a walk odd. My regular requested a walk between 3pm-6pm, so I picked 6 as we agreed upon, and it chose 9pm, on more than one occasion. I've gotten around that by doing "3pm" and it changing itself to 6, but I do think there's currently a bug in the system.

Not even worth one star. I bought my mother in law six walks on Groupon as she is going in for heart surgery and thought this was the perfect gift so she can have peace of mind that her dog is being walked when my husband and I can't be there. After countless emails asking Wag why I can't upload the Groupon code onto her established Wag account, I was emailed to call in. My mother in law, being retired called and spent an entire hour on the phone, first they could not find her as they spelled her name wrong, then they said she opted for a free walk so if you sign up on the app and get a free walk, you cannot use Groupon. What kind of business is that? There was never a disclosure stating this I was floored that a supervisor could not offer her the six walks with the Groupon code or offer her the same six walks for the Groupon price. He pretty much dismissed her. Thanks WAG for stressing out our elderly mother in law about to have heart surgery. WORSE COMPANY EVER! I hope enough of us writing in can close down this place.
