I had a great experience with April from the Renton location, she was knowledgeable and patient to answer all the questions I had. She went above and beyond to ensure that I liked my glasses. Thank you April for making it so worthwhile to go to Vision works.

Totally HAPPY with Somerset Kentucky Visionworks
Recently needed new glasses, mine were broken. Called numerous eye doctors in Somerset by order of highest reviews. No one could see me for 2 months. I really can’t go without them. But made an appointment 2 months out. Finally after a month I decided to call Visionworks. Their reviews weren’t great but I gave it a try. They got me in the following week. Staff was great. Doctor was really nice. She actually fit me with the correct lens whereas my previous eye doctor couldn’t get it right after three attempts. They have a huge selection of frames also. They arrived in LESS than a week too! I had always had Vision care insurance but being retired now I do not YET my total cost with transitional lens, progressive bifocals, glare reduction and scratch resistant lenses were LESS than what I had paid with insurance. Highly recommend this business!

I want to make it very clear
I want to make it very clear. The staff in the waugh chapel office are great. Once the order leaves it is out of there control. Did the virtual exam first it did not read correctly. That was ok stuff happens. Went back got the correct script. Staff worked there magic and off the frames and script went. Got the order back which takes to long but ok. Tried the glasses you can't really tell in office. Could not see as clear as I thought. Hard to read signs etc. Took the glasses back. They sent them back out. Said it would be 10 days. I gave them 17. I then called the store. Was told that they found a email that stated they broke one of the frames. I said ok where is the second pair. They said they canceled them both. Ok now my patience is getting thin. I asked for all money back. When it hit the bank I went in and picked one pair without the bells. Ok off they go. Got them back fairly quick this time. Could see far away, but the progressive where not correct. Had to hold the glasses a certain way to see. Went online with script ordered a pair. Received in the mail. Can see far and progressive work fine. Got in the car and returned them again money back. From now on will get eyes check by human and order from a company online. Way cheaper for everything. The lab needs to be put on blast. They are not doing work. Management please go and check on your lab staff. Either there over worked or just do not give darn.

Bad Billing and Worse customer service
Representative billed my insurance for "upgraded" progressive lenses without my knowledge and also charged me separately for the individual upgrades (tinting etc) that I DID request. The extra "Tier 3" designation resulted in an extra $150 PLUS the individual charges for the upgrades. Total bill WITH insurance = $400!
Customer service cannot help so they push you to Billing.
No answer, full Mailbox and they hang up after sharing that tidbit.
Never again.

They only get 1 star because you have…
They only get 1 star because you have to select something. I was racially discriminated against today by an older white male. I am a young black woman who utilities state issued insurance. When I first came in he took my information and asked me to select my glasses. He said they accept my insurance so I looked around and picked out a few that I liked. He took the iPad and went to the back to talk to the Dr. He came back to me and said " this insurance is employee issued, right?" I said no its state. He looked at me funny and said oh im not i mean i cant accept that. Then told me to leave. I said that his change in behavior was odd because all was well just 5 min prior. I told him that I called my insurance and got this business name and address direct. My insurance told me to come there. He denied me because I am black and use state issued insurance. Racism, and discrimination at its worst!

My daughter and I both purchased…
My daughter and I both purchased glasses at Visionworks in Terre Haute. The eye doctor messed up my prescription and insisted that I try it. The eye doctor was flabbergasted that I didn’t have bifocals and stated that it was my age as to why I couldn’t see far away because my eyes were too old and the problem was that I couldn’t see close…the straining of my eyes impacted my distance. This doctor was wrong because I had another doctor at Visionworks test my eyes and stated that I did have a problem with the distance. I had to get another pair of glasses made and they still are not the exact same prescription but I am tired of dealing with the assistant manager who is a bully to customers and clients. This assistant manager got her co-worker who is an African Male fired. This co-worker that got fired was the best and most helpful employee because he worked hard to find the root cause of the problem and strived to fix it rather than bullying people to keep glasses that were not made nor prescribed correctly. The assistant manager that got her co-worker fired belittle customers advocating for their eyesight.
My daughter has progressive myopia and a rather significant eye prescription. Visionworks simply couldn’t get their act together and properly cut her glasses despite multiple attempts. I can’t tell you how many times we tried to return the glasses and they encouraged us to try them longer despite my daughter saying that she couldn’t see….then when you try and return them, the assistant manager puts you down.
I can only imagine the drama at that store with an assistant manager like that running a show. The employee that got fired was a scapegoat because the assistant manager probably felt threatened how talented this employee is.
Don’t go to Visionworks in Terre Haute if you want good service

I can count the number of reviews I…
I can count the number of reviews I have ever posted on one hand, but I am *extremely* unhappy with my experience at Visionworks. I strongly recommend that people go elsewhere. After a long wait for an appointment, I went in to get an eyeglasses and a contact prescription. I expressed concern about the prescription the doctor wrote, which was surprisingly high to me. Because he was so insistent, however (and, frankly, condescending), I tried for two weeks to get accustomed to it. I dealt with regular headaches and nausea and had to routinely take pain medication and naps. I was not nearly as productive as I needed to be. Finally, a friend who was an ophthalmologist advised that this was abnormal and that I needed to get a second opinion. There were no appointments available at Visionworks - plus you have to wait for 30 minutes or more to even speak to anyone - so I went to another doctor. This doctor gave me a much more familiar prescription and, when I showed him what I'd been working with, he was flabbergasted. He confirmed that I would have been suffering using the stronger prescription. I was - and beyond considering the entire appointment a waste in terms of time and money, I am extremely frustrated to know that I didn't need to be in pain. Unfortunately, I have wasted *additional* time by trying on multiple occasions to speak with someone at Visionworks. I have, after lengthy waits, managed to speak a couple times with helpful attendants, but have yet to reach a manager who can do anything about it. Do better.
