Went to see Skitalski Eye Care underVisionWorks about getting scleral lenses due to my Fuch's dystrophy, first appointments were great. I was able to be fitted for the lenses and all was going well until my eyes start to deteriorate further and adjustments needed to be made to one of my lenses. Well, that is when I was told "NO" additional lenses adjustments would be made, with no explanation. I was completely taken aback. I paid out of pocket $1800, since they would not file the VSP insurance for these lenses that I can now no longer use.

Absolutely abhorrent behavior and lack of competency on the part of staff. Two instances: 1st. Took my glasses back to have them adjusted so that they sat properly on the bridge of my nose. Staff member worked on my problem, returned them to me, and said thats the best I can do. ( They’re still not right) 2nd. Fishing line holding the lens in the frame came loose and I took them back to have repaired. I was told that they were too busy to do them now. I said, No problem, I have a spare pair and I can leave these and pick them up later whenever they’re repaired. I was told NO, you can’t leave them because we cannot be responsible for them. We will lose them. I said, What! I was told that that was the managers rule. To resolve the issue I would have to keep bringing them back when they were not busy. I said that doesn’t sound logical, how will I know when you are not busy? He just shrugged and refused to address the issue further. Horrid customer service and a horrid company to deal with. BEWARE! Their Chinese frames says it all.

I had my exam , was so excited I bought several books to read. I arrived home and when I put them on I couldn’t see the words. Now I have to go back and do it all again. Waste of precious time.

Eye doctor best customer service, not so much for some of the front desk customer service, one young man was supposedly on the phone when I walked in I literally stood there 20 minutes and not once did he say someone will be with you shortly or any welcoming..Two-way before this young lady attitude was unwelcoming as well..in my opinion looks like they don't like working with each other let alone Some customers. I choose this location thinking it was better than SHOPCITY boy was I wrong.

I visited Springfield, MO Visionworks on May 9. I ordered two pair of glasses. I thought the price was good and hope I will be pleased with the glasses. The promise date on the glasses was May 23. I am now being told my glasses will be available on June 14. I understand delays may happen sometime, but there should be some type of compensation for this type of delay. I am told there is not. Don't order from Visionworks if you must have the glasses in a timely manner.

I used low grade distance prescription glasses two decades ago but never really used it. Been using store-bought readers glasses these past four years, switching to increased magnification as needed as my eyesight continues to age. First time again to get an eye exam and prescription glasses. The eye exam done by Khanh Ngo, O. D. felt too hurried, she presses you to give an answer immediately. I was told in my previous eye exam that my eyes have delayed focus so it takes me longer to give an accurate answer. It ended up I was given a distance prescription lower than my previous prescription and the reading prescription is lower than what I comfortably use from my current store bought readers glasses. Also the width of corrected vision on the bifocals lens that I got based on Dr Ngo’s prescription seemed too narrow but when I came back to the store, the staff said it already was the wider one. I will try a different vision care store brand next time, I certainly will not recommend Visionworks to anyone at this point.

The optomitrist in the Sams Club was closed due to the pandemic, and I really needed new lenses, so went across the street to Visionworks. They did a good job in the exam and were pretty safe with masks and keeping surfaces clean. I got 2 pair of glasses and a year supply of contacts for around 1,200$. I was expecting it to be expensive, so whatever, man! They did OK with replacing an improperly fitted lens in 1 pair a few weeks later. About a year later (a few weeks ago) I went to get a lens replaced because of a scratch, and this time the service was bad. They wanted 190 bucks for 1 lens, then called later to say they have to do both lenses due to 'company policy' so it will be 240$! I told them no thanks, so had to go back a few days later to retrieve my glasses, Then they used the 'computer problems' excuse to not give me my priscription info to try to keep me from going to a different company. The thing that really bugz me is that the entire industry colludes to keep their prices hi. They make you get an expensive exam if you haven't had one in more than a year, even tho when you are over 40 your vision is pretty much set.

Organized an appointment three weeks out for the Neptune NJ location. Showed up at 9am and my online paperwork was not accepted (same as my last appt 1.5 years earlier). Doctor was not there and no one knew when the doctor would be in. Usually arrives after 9:30am. Font desk person was not mean but very unhelpful or interested with my concerns. I arrived at 8:58 and she would not open the door until 9... I left at 9:15 knowing if I waited I would arrive at my work closer to 11am. Not what I wanted. Will not go back to that location and may return to Lens Crafter
