I've been going to vision works for as long as I've worn eye glasses and that's 3 yrs old!Dr. Bare has ALWAYS did my prescription. This time around was HORRIBLE!! I ordered and paid for the glasses on September 9,2026 it is to the date October 2,2026.I NEVER waited for any glasses this long!The lady 'Darla' keeps telling me they are not in and she would check the status of my order and call me back ,well that never happened, I had to call there only to be told " they're very careful with progressive lenses ...LADY THIS IS NOT NEW TO ME .. THEY'RE MY EYES REMEMBER?? any excuse is better then none!! After this go round.. taking my BUSSINES elsewhere! 400$ is a lot of money to be having to wait with bad eye sight and empty promises!Visionworks has gone downhill in CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA.

When we first ordered the glasses, everything seemed fine. We had concerns about the frame and lenses, but the manager encouraged us to proceed and assured us that Visionworks’ 100-day customer satisfaction guarantee would protect us. Unfortunately, the glasses did not meet our expectations, and there were no other suitable options that fit. When we returned them, the manager’s attitude changed completely. He told us, “You wasted my time,” and even asked us not to come back. This was extremely unprofessional and made an otherwise reasonable experience very disappointing. We will not be returning to Visionworks in Burlington for sure - not because what they said, but because what they did!

And this place is an absolute joke. I went in treated like absolute crap. Got a return phone call from the manager. Who treated me worse, thought she hung up the phone and she did not. I heard her talking about me called to make a complaint to their main number was told. I would get a return call within 48 hours. It's been 4 days, haven't heard a word.

They gave us a appointment it was telehealth no doctor just a assistant wife is using a walker they did little to assist scared her when she was told to stay in the chair they pulled her over Rome office sucks they were rude threatening disrespectful went against her request we we'll never use or purchase anything else from here again was not told it was not a doctor day they did not want to take her at first because of her seizures she does not like the flashing of lights pretty stupid I have sent this to the bbb and the attorney generals office these people need to stop using Ai I don't like it please change your ways or forget my visit again

Very disappointing experience with no regard for guest experience. had major issue with my prescription since first day and had to get my glasses redone but was still having issues and called scheduled a follow up and got a call to conform my appointment and when i showed up for my appointment sacrificing my work time they tell me i am over my 90 days grace period by a few days and doctor wont see me unless i pay in full for a new exam and didn’t even bother to talk to me. I explained that i needed a follow and they called to confirm my appointment and no one bother to check until i am there. Associates couldn’t even get me a phone number to talk to a manager or something. now i am stuck with a prescription that doesn’t work for me and i wasted time and money for nothing. Absolutely horrible way to treat anyone when you are in the health care business and someone well being and daily life is affect by your service.

The price of name brand frames and progressive lenses are very expensive and the time it takes is about two weeks. I was very dissatisfied with Visionworks only having to two opticians and one manager and it’s bad enough your glasses are not done right there and then. I don’t seem to understand how expensive glasses are and Visionworks and can’t afford to hire more optician’s. This is ridiculous how there competition have many more opticians, assistant manager’s and manager's. The company is limited with employees especially with the amount of money being made since they make there employees multitask to save money.

i went had a eye exam eye doctor was great guy very informative , was in july in auburn ny, went out got fitted for pair of glasses told me had to pay before they could complete order, told them id be back in june to give him money insurance didnt cover went back today to pay they had nothing we picked out anywhere not even the coupon i brought in buy one get sunglasses free, and a lady put it in my file where they save glasses in, so they threw away my file it was all in wont be back there again , bad business wont suggest to anyone any more just want you to know , your system is not right guess ill go to different place for glasses Richar Sackel 315-664 5489

Set an appointment with a receptionist at the local office. They said they took my insurance. A day before the exam, they called to confirm....and let me know that actually they dont take my insurance for exams and that that would be out of pocket. When I complained they basically said "yeah....its not really our fault". This company is totally cool with lying and/or saying anything to get you in the door but everything about this company is shady.
