If I could give a -5, I would. Absolute worst internet service I have ever dealt with. From the internet they provide to customer service. Canceled our service returned our equipment within the allotted time. Receive a text that they haven’t received the equipment and if they don’t receive by that date they will charge. Call and give them my tracking number that says it was returned, was verified by the agent who said it was taken care of. Nothing the next month and then the following month they billed my credit card for the equipment. Called and although she could pull up the tracking number and see that it has been returned before the required date they have to have verification from their warehouse? Ended up having to get my credit card company involved before that money was refunded. Then after it was refunded I get a notification of payment overdue. So waiting for them to charge my account again next month and having to dispute the charge again. Afraid if I cancel my credit card they will send it to collections, so I will continue to dispute it every time they try to charge it.

Our review from 2.5 Years of Service…
Our review from 2.5 Years of Service from ViaSat. We came from Hughesnet and it was great improvement, now it is not like Super Fast or unlimited, but living outside in the country (its a small price to pay).
Lets start with Price $220 a month ain’t cheap by any means, speeds are limited in High Use times and Data is used up quickly with Videos or other larger Programs.
So overall it is a decent solution, when not much else is available. But read till the end to get the whole story.
On Nov. 21st the Internet went down, would happen once and while, but after a quick reset of the Router back up, well this time didn’t work. So went to bed and was hoping time would fix it, next morning still no Internet. So call customer service (using WiFI from my Neighbors Internet and using kids to communicate between me on the phone and wife at the router), they did there normal trouble shooting and determined the a tech would need to come out and said there would be no charge (yeah been paying $8.99 per month if this happened), could not give me a appointment, said Tech would call and set a time with 24hrs. After 2 Days called back and never heard anything. The Lady was telling me that I would have to be patient, well I informed them again that No Internet meant also No Phone. She was unimpressed and that was about it. No the daily chore of driving to town to use internet and Phone seemed to be the norm. NO Call or Appointment ever got set.
So we started to hunt for new Internet providers. On Dec 9th new Internet was up and running and with a busy weekend and lots of Catch up to do, we called ViaSat Dec. 12th to inform them that we are cancelling their services. They stated the Tech tried to contact us, but we would not pick up the Phone, no message was ever left.
We’ll paid for this month Service and only had 1 Day of service, demanded to have this month refunded and also to have the $8.99 service protection refunded, since they never showed up. Which they both denied, forcing us to stay in the Service till the end of Billing cycle (one more Week) and still have no service and are not sending a Tech out to get us a service.
So ViaSat was a decent option at the Time, but now there is Starlink. This gives people in the country actually high speed internet, 10 times the Data for about 1/2 the Price, did I say HIGH speed (video just start playing).
ViaSAT is a thing of the past the, customer service a joke.
Save yourself the problems, money and waiting on Movies to buffer and just get Starlink.

$400+ a month and we can’t even watch a movie…. 1 wk of ok and 3.5 weeks of nothing. Not worth it. If I had kids in school during the pandemic they would have failed due to Viasat over selling their bandwidth..
We depend on wifi calling to get a signal…. Well, if there were an emergency we’d be in a pickle, because of Viasat’s employ promises.
First opportunity I have, I’m done with you

Service cancelation headache
I have been a Viasat customer for about 5 years. I live in rural NC and we have no wired internet or even cell service where we live. For many years I had Hughes net and then I changed to Viasat. The service from Viasat was about as good as could be expected for standard satellite internet but a couple of months ago, I changed to Starlink and that is where my issues with Viasat arose. When I left Hughes net, they asked for their router back and I expected that from Viasat. But it turns out that Viasat also wants part of the satilite dish back as well. However the dish was installed where I cannot reach it. And I am disabled and am not able to climb a ladder to get to the part that they want. So I spoke to them and they said that if I did not send that back, I would be billed. Or they could send a technician out to take the part if I payed a fee of $95. My years of faithfully paying the $180 a month fee and the fact that I am disabled did not change any of that. I STRONGLY suggest that anyone considering Viasat think twice.
Hughes net has similar service and is easier to work with and more considerate of their customers. Or Starlink may be a good option too. But I would sure avoid Viasat.

Worst company I personally have ever dealt with. Fraudulent charges, unauthorized $500 charges to my credit card. Sent me to collections! All after asking for the service to be canceled and returned without 2 hours of the Installation. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

ViaSat is a predatory company that…
ViaSat is a predatory company that takes advantage of people in rural areas who have no other choice for internet service. The internet service is ridiculously overpriced, there are data limits on every plan which barely last the average household 2-5 DAYS, the service is often interrupted by bad weather or ViaSat outages, and customer service is horrible. I've been STUCK with this service for years because I had no other choice. THANKFULLY, we finally had real internet come to our neighborhood & I jumped at the chance to upgrade. Unfortunately, ViaSat is still ripping me off at every opportunity, IGNORING my request to cancel my service, and instead continuing to charge me for a service that I already canceled. I have contacted them & they are still denying the me the previously agreed upon cancellation date. They are currently "investigating" the problem, which I see from these other reviews is a common occurrence. I will be reporting this clear cut case of credit card fraud to my bank as soon as their "investigation" is complete.
