The installation guys put our dish in the yard. And the they put the expensive equipment like the router and modem right next to the microwave. So it's not working. They also posted a bill only 2 days after installation. What?

I never had consistent internet service from day one. If it rains or is even very cloudy I would lose internet. Streaming tv was ridiculously slow with frequent buffering. I switched to Starlink and saw 100% improvement. Then because I closed my viasat service one day after I paid for October to November, they refused to reimburse me. I do NOT recommend Viasat for anything!

the service was fine. Best I could do at the time, but recently switch to Starlink and the cancelation policy is insane. You have to send back the modem, fine, and JUST the silver transceiver attached to the dish, which even with power tools I can not get off. You can not send the whole dish back, they will not even send you a label to do that. So either I pay them a $100 ransom to have someone come and remove the box ( I already paid someone to take it off the roof) or they charge me $300. Also they will not send you the label till your billing cycle is over, regardless of when you canceled, and then you have a limited about of time in which to send the crap back. So I had canceled when I had time to deal with this, but now I have to wait to receive the shipping information.

Klaphatte

We originally had to have Viasat due to our rural location and it got the job done for the most part. Then, we moved and had our service transferred due to the same issue. Viasat instructed us to bring all of the equipment with the exception of the dish to our new location and they would send a box for it to be returned. (They setup new equipment at our new location) For a year and a half, and probably 25-35 phone calls they could not get a return box to our location. Even though we were in good standing with our service, they turned us into collections (all the while we're still streaming and paying our monthly bill). We finally canceled them, got Starlink, which is the best thing we ever did and still have their crappy equipment sitting here and a collections case.
