I’ve had a consistently frustrating experience with this internet service. The company does not follow through on what they say they’ll do, and their representatives often give conflicting or incorrect information. It’s clear there’s a major lack of internal communication and accountability.
To make matters worse, their automated system warns of “zero tolerance for aggression” — now I understand why. They seem to go out of their way to aggravate customers with delays, misinformation, and poor service. It feels like they’ve designed the experience to push you to your limit, then hide behind their “policy” to avoid taking responsibility.
I do not recommend this service to anyone who values honesty, reliability, or respectful customer support.

Arroganti. Zero problem solving

Very slow internet specially for gaming
This internet is complete garbage, seriously. Let me explain my situation:
My parents bought this service because Viasat technicians told them it was “high-speed satellite internet.” They gave us the usual 💩
that internet providers love to say — claiming they were better than HughesNet and all that. They even said you could play online video games without any issues, which couldn’t be further from the truth.
We chose this crappy internet because they promised it was good for schoolwork, watching videos (like TikTok, YouTube, etc.), and most importantly, playing video games without problems. But none of that turned out to be true.
1. Watching videos? Constant buffering, especially during the day.
2. Online gaming? A complete disaster. The ping is insanely high — I’m talking 800ms or even over 1000ms at times. (Gamers will know how bad that is.)
3. Downloads? If you try to download a file over 500–800MB, it becomes painfully slow.
To be fair, the only time it’s somewhat usable is late at night, like after 9 or 10 PM. At those hours, the speed is a bit more stable, videos buffer less, downloads are faster, and gaming is barely tolerable — and I mean barely. That’s the only reason I’m giving this service 2 stars instead of 1.
For example, I tried playing games like Warzone, and it wouldn’t even let me start a match due to the extreme lag. Because of Viasat’s false promises, I can’t even enjoy gaming on my console anymore
🚨 Conclusion:
If you’re reading this, please don’t get this internet.
They make false promises about high speed, but it’s ridiculously slow for gaming. Sure, it’s “ok-ish” for social media, but that’s about it. This internet is trash💩.
Viasat, if you're reading this: fix your service, and stop lying to potential customers.
There are much better options for the same or even lower prices. One of them is Kinetic Fiber Internet, which I’ve personally tested — it’s everything Viasat is not. Honestly, any fiber internet is miles better than satellite.
I’m not trying to trash the company — I just want people to be informed before they sign up. In the end, it’s your choice. But now you’ve been warned.
Thanks

Viasat doesn't care about you
Viasat doesn't care about their customers. Only their customer's money. I was rural and Starlink was on backorder during Covid, so I went with this little known company at the time not really knowing much about data and satellite dish companies. They made us do a 3 year contract and the plans they offered at the time were $150 for 100GB of data or $213.52 for 150GB of data. We did the $150 at first, but 100GB of data is about how much you need if you are only home for 2 or 3 days a month. They say you can still get internet once your data runs out, but that's just not true. You get the buffer wheel of pain more than you get a picture on your tv screen. So after a few months of complaining, we upped it to 150GB at $213.52. We had to ration our data like gold. The average family uses 700GB of data per month, so we were operating at less than a quarter of that. Had to tell our friends we couldn't share our WIFI. Didn't use our own cell phones on WIFI. So when I got Starlink after my contract was up (by the way, $120 for UNLIMITED DATA) I called Viasat to cancel. They tried to keep me by saying they have a 850GB package now for $120. I asked how long they had that plan, and they said several months now. So I asked why I hadn't heard about this before now since I had been so unhappy with my service, and I got crickets. The day I was cancelling my service was 4 days into a new billing cycle, and since I pointed out how they've been ripping me off for several months now, don't you dare charge me that last month. I even warned that if they did, I would write reviews everywhere. They charged me. I disputed it with my credit card company, which then had to force me to pay it once they saw the verbiage in my contract. However, my credit card company submitted a second request for a refund and Viasat honored that one. I stopped writing negative reviews. However, maybe Viasat saw my reviews, because out of the blue, they have since reneged on the forgiveness and even submitted the $213.52 to a debt collector. 3 years and 6 months of taking monthly pain of crappy internet streaming and apparently these guys need $213.52 more than I do. A judge will have to decide whether I owe this debt, but this is who you are really dealing with if you are already a customer of Viasat or thinking about using them. Buyer beware! I actually called them and asked why I was being charged, and after a customer service rep said it was for unreturned equipment (which was indeed returned safely and securely) a management person admitted right on the phone that they changed their mind about refunding me that money. Don't like my reviews Viasat? I warned you I would write them if you charged me for that month.
