Download speed 1.4 Mbps doesn’t work with ADT. I switched to Starlink, who guaranteed at least 35 Mbps. Yesterday the speed was 1400Mbps.

Truly abysmal wifi experience on Fiji Airlines, was able to load a couple of emails and run a couple pieces of software, before it would freeze every minute and cut out for 20 minutes. Even the Fiji airlines staff were great and said this wifi wasn't working today. Viasat would not issue a refund and touted their provided services. Very disappointing. One can only hope Fiji Airlines switches to Starlink.

Unusable service and a billing trap at cancellation—avoid Viasat! I had Viasat for two years and it was easily the worst service experience I’ve ever had. The connection was consistently awful, constantly dropped out, and was so weak that I couldn't even make basic phone calls over Wi-Fi. I work from home so this has cost me a lot of money because I haven’t been able to attend meetings and consistently work. To make matters worse, their billing practices are incredibly predatory. I was on a contract-free, month-to-month plan. Because my billing cycle reset on the 23rd, they refuse to prorate my final bill and are forcing me to pay for an extra month of service I am not even using. I recently switched to a different satellite internet provider and the difference is night and day—my new service is great. Viasat’s technology is completely outdated, and their customer billing policies feel like a scam. Save yourself the frustration and go with a different provider.

I had viasat installed and never did it work properly. Constant buffering, along with a technician who was less than courteous and lied about why he canceled an installation appointment. He was also late to the next appointment. They fail to uphold their end of the contract, so I canceled it within 3 weeks. They wanted to charge me a $150 cancelation fee. I canceled their ability to access my account to prevent it, but I'm sure they will turn it over to a collection agency. I later discovered they have the poorest rating among internet providers.

Honestly, I would NOT recommend Viastat. The internet buffers nonstop, making it extremely frustrating to use. It gets to the point where you can barely watch anything without it constantly stopping and loading. When we first complained about the issue, we were told that the problem might be because the internet equipment was placed by a wall instead of near a window or door. So we actually fixed that and moved it like we were told to. Unfortunately, that didn’t solve anything. Then, instead of actually fixing the problem, we were told it could be because T-Mobile has taken over the service towers. 🤨 So first it was the location of the equipment, and after we fixed that, suddenly it was the towers? At this point, it feels like there’s always another excuse instead of an actual solution. I’m paying for internet that I shouldn’t have to constantly fight with just to get it to work. If you need reliable internet, I would seriously think twice before choosing Viastat.

They had a problem with their internet service. I was without internet on my 3 devices. It took 5 calls to find out they wanted to charge me $99 to send someone out. They admitted the problem was on their end, so why should I be charged for a service call. They admitted the price of their service was going up as well. I switched to Xfinity and I’m locked in at $90 a month for5 years. Unlimited data and I also also get paramount + included in my plan. Service is great. I would not recommend Viasat. I was always paying for extra data which was expensive.
