The Velvet Jobs team assisted me with critical aspects of my resume and social profiles to ensure that potential recruiters understood my skills, experience, and interests. Their guidance was instrumental in helping me obtain my new position.

I cannot thank James enough for his incredible help during my sudden job search. After a 40-year career without ever needing a resume, I was overwhelmed and didn’t know where to start. James stepped in and created an outstanding resume after just a quick conversation with me. His ability to capture my experience, skills, and career accomplishments so perfectly was truly impressive. He made the process seamless and stress-free, and I felt confident submitting the resume he crafted. I highly recommend James to anyone in need of professional, high-quality resume assistance.

James has been incredibly helpful in getting my resume and documentation in order, interview prep, and the job search itself. I'd been out of the loop for this process for a number of years, and it would've been considerably more difficult without his attention to detail, and careful considerations. Highly recommended!

Bethany is what made the experience great. I thoroughly enjoyed our sessions since I was able to download a lot of her wisdom while still having a laugh. Her templates for cover letters and resumes were fantastic too!

I have been an engineer for nearly 20 years, and I have had a good resume for 0 of them. To be frank, I am no good at tooting my own horn. That’s why I’m so glad James was my advocate, who helped me put together a professional resume and cover letter that helped my skills and years of experience shine. I’m so glad I had James help me, sometimes you just need someone other than yourself to help show others what you are worth.

Luann was great to work with!

James was a great resource for mock interviews. He would prepare general questions, and I would provide more in depth technical / behavioral ones for the later stage interviews. I would recommend

James made me re think the resume and cover letter strategy I had been using for that last year or so. I really appreciated being challenged and advised on my thinking. I still had an opinion about things but was feeling like I had someone invested in helping me refine what I'd been putting out into the job market. Bottom line, I feel much more confident in my career search moving forward. Thx James!
