Je reviens sur mon avis, le service client s'est excusé et a réactivé la carte sim. Je suis donc satisfaite de leur service et du Vasco M3. Il respecte bien leur contrat. (Après les 2 années de garantie, en cas de non utilisation dans l'année la carte sim est désactivée. De ce fait le VASCO ne sert plus à rien J'ai fait une réclamation au SAV et voici ce que l'on m'a répondu : "Pour clarifier la situation, l'offre "Internet à vie" incluse avec nos appareils signifie qu'il n'y a aucun frais d'abonnement ou de recharge à prévoir. Toutefois, le maintien d'une ligne internationale active dépend des protocoles de nos opérateurs réseaux partenaires. Lorsqu'un appareil n'est pas connecté au réseau pendant une période prolongée, la carte SIM est automatiquement désactivée par le fournisseur pour inactivité. Cette procédure standard dans les télécommunications internationales vise à optimiser les ressources réseaux. Une fois la carte désactivée par l'opérateur après une trop longue période sans connexion, elle devient techniquement inutilisable.)

Kind of slow in conversations with multiple people.

So far, what we are experiencing is that the translation is slow and the device doesn't always respond. Also, it doesn't block out the ambient noise in the room, so if there are other conversations or activities going on, the device does not translate. It has to be perfectly quiet, which is not practical.

Vasco Q1 is very good i like them

The Vasco Q1 is garbage compared to FREE Google Translate. I have been using the Q1 for over two months throughout Southeast Asia and have had nothing but problems. The latency for translations is extremely poor, mostly because it has to function connected to the internet only. It cannot do any onboard translations. This is extremely painful while inside a building where the cellular signal may not be that good. Out in the countryside, forget it. It won't respond. Google Translate has none of these issues because language packs can be downloaded. The biggest failure is the voice cloning gimmick. Everytime I have used my cloned voice in Malay, Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian, etc, no one can understand me. I asked those who also speak English why. I am constantly told my cloned voice has no inflection, which is crucial in most Southeast Asia languages. The telephone translation feature doesn't work, at all, the photo translator only works if you take a photograph with the Q1 and wait for it to be translated, compared to Google Translate where you merely have to hold your phone’s camera up to a sign and it translates accurately in real time. There are other shortcomings about the Q1 I could go on about, but just those I’ve listed above are a dealbreaker for me and they should be for you, too. $550 is a lot of money to throw away when a far superior and free app is right under your nose. Please don't make the same mistake I made.
