Accuracy: We have a full mechanism for switching between translation engines to ensure the best accuracy. All apps rely on one engine; we use 11 engines. Thanks to this, the accuracy of our devices is equally high, no matter the language pair you use. Features: With call translator, automatic language recognition, automatic mode, voice cloning, and many more, our devices offer much more than any available app can. Internet: All our handheld devices come with a free, lifetime, and worldwide data package for translations. Thanks to that, you are not limited by the spotty WiFi or forced to buy a local SIM card. In places without connectivity, we also offer offline language pairs. I hope that helps differentiate our technology from free apps. Hello Chris. We are sorry to hear that our device didn't meet your expectations. It is true that Vasco Translator will not work without an Internet connection. That's why every device is equipped with a SIM card and a free lifetime data package. If you travel to a remote region with no cellular signal, our card will not connect either. We work on the update, allowing offline translation, but building accurate offline language models is difficult. We tested those provided with free apps, and unfortunately, their accuracy was, in some cases, extremely poor. The voice cloning feature is constantly improved to imitate the local accent as closely as possible. The final quality relies strongly on the cloning process - best if you do it in a quiet room. Our call translator feature works well, and if you experienced any problems using it, we would be, and still are, happy to help you. Unfortunately, our customer service could not find any support ticket connected to your name. We do not inform that the photo translator feature works as the one provided in the free app you mentioned. It is only useful when you want to translate small amounts of text, but it will not work well for longer ones. We intend to make the device universal, which is why you have to wait around one second to get the translation.
