When I registered, they had a deal going on due to Covid that waves the yearly fee. 60 days later and they charged me three times my monthly fee and when I asked them about it, they told me it is not a yearly fee but just a rate guarantee fee. Which they will charge yearly. So I asked what it is for. They told me so when corporate increases fee I will not be affected. So you would think for something like that, you would be allowed to opt out, but NOOO. They told me they charge everyone whether they want it or not, and that it is a non-optional fee. To sweeten the deal, the lady told they will be charging that every YEAR. When I tried to cancel, they came up with ridiculous excuses why I can't. They said I have to give them 30 notice. With they 30 days, if I don't remember to go in and close, they will keep charging me. This place is awful. STAY AWAY IF YOU CAN.

This company will bleed you dry in any possible way they can. They will work in any extra fees they can, as much as they possibly can. If you want to cancel your membership, you will be forced to pay any charges that would occur over the next 30 days regardless of your use of the service. They charged me every single month that COVID-19 forced the gyms to close. Even now, the gyms are open, but you can't go unless you're willing to wear a mask, which I am not. Waste of money and time, that would have been better spent doing literally anything else. If you try to pay for your membership using a secure virtual card, they will be unable to process it, unless you are in person, and they will send you to collections after one email. Choose a different gym, and stay away from this corrupt system of greedy people. I've been charged upwards of 600 dollars from them, and I've had the opportunity to use my membership maybe three times.

I like the prices and convenience of Vasa. I go to the north Orem, UT location. The workers are friendly and even invited me into a free Red Zone class once! The 3.5 stars is because I've had a hard time getting into classes and when I do, I've noticed a few times that the women aren't even following the class, they're doing their own thing. I could have gone to classes if they didn't use up a spot. Also, I got ringworm due to customers not wiping down their dumbbells after class... Gives me the creeps!

PLEASE NEVER SIGN ON WITH THEM I tried to cancel last month and I was just charged again. I called the gym where someone told me to go to the website. I went to the website to cancel AGAIN. Now, I get to wait to see what happens next. The process is called a "request". If i'm told I have to pay more to not go to the gym, I'll be making a second report to BBB. I know for sure that I will be notifying my bank to hold all payments for them. It's particularly horrible to do this to people at a time when many are struggling with finances as I am.

This review is about Vasa's business practices. My wife and I signed up for a family membership. Then a year later the card on file expired. They notified me and I updated the card on file. Problem solved, right? Vasa apparently set us up with different account, and only updated MY account, and not my wife's. They also never notified her/I that her apparently separate account did not have payment information. We continued to attend the gym regularly for months, scanning in with each of our barcodes the whole time without any issue. Meanwhile Vasa charges late fees, and ultimately cancelled my wife's account and sold it to the scammiest, scum bucket collections company possible (Aldous & Associates). I've called Vasa multiple times and despite this being their oversight, they told me to there's nothing they can do and to just deal with the collections agency. Aldous, is now charging me 2x the monthly charges + late fees, has scarred my credit, and wont pick up the phone despite 30+ calls to try and get this resolved. The 1 time I was able to a human the rep straight up lied about everything, even though I had all of the contracts, and paperwork from Vasa to prove what I was saying. Vasa's gym's are fine, but I'll absolutely never do business with them again. Mistakes happen, but they refused to even attempt to fix it, and left me to deal with the scum of the earth that they chose to represent them to customers.

They are true to form with the whole idea of fitness gyms scamming their members. Nice employees, nice facilities but corporate and contracts, etc. make sure you pay out the nose. signed up for a membership and wanted to try training at the same time. Apparently i 'signed' a training contract as well as membership for 6 months. after a month or two realized it wasn't for me and called to stop the payments coming out and found out I had a 6 mo contract. i'm out over $1000. they will not cancel under any circumstance unless you move or you die. i didn't want the service plus covid happened and allowed me to 'pause' for a 90 days, but I don't want to go back and workout in a mask. i don't want and can't use their training service due to health reasons and work schedule. they would rather get their money than have a happy customer. unethical-bad business. be careful when you sign up. really careful. My guess if Vasa reads this, they'll say they'll refund me for the readers, but won't. I'll happy to change this if they do.

Disabled veteran here. Joined gym in March, never went one time, then corona hit. All gyms were closed, here it is August. I receive a letter in the mail from an attorneys office saying they are going to put a judgement out against me unless I pay their made up $171 that they say I owe them. Have no idea what is going on. Thanks. Ruined my Friday.....
