I recently visited VASA Fitness at 8055 W Bowles Ave and unfortunately had a very unpleasant experience with an employee named Alex. Her attitude toward customers came across as rude and unprofessional, and she did not seem willing to assist customers appropriately. When customers asked questions, her responses felt dismissive and disrespectful. Customer service is a big part of creating a welcoming gym environment, and this interaction definitely did not reflect that. I hope management addresses this situation and provides additional customer-service training so future customers are treated with the respect they deserve.

I’ve had a mixed experience at VASA. There’s a good variety of equipment, but the machines I rely on most—like the hack squat and leg press—are almost always in use, which makes it hard to get a consistent workout. The overall “dress-like-it’s-a-nightclub” vibe just isn’t for me. I’m there to work out, not feel like I walked into a social media shoot or a night out. The atmosphere at the Zuni location leans heavily toward a younger, appearance-focused crowd, and I’ve honestly never felt this uncomfortable in a gym before. It’s distracting, and it takes away from what I’m there to do. That said, the classes are great—well run, focused, and the one place I actually feel comfortable and can just work out. The downside is the added cost. Overall, VASA has some strong points, but between the consistently busy equipment and an environment that doesn’t feel like a fit for me, I’ll be looking for a gym that’s more workout-focused and a better match overall.

I liked the gym, and the membership contract does contain their pricing policies but regardless they still make it overly difficult to cancel and I would not suggest it to someone who is not sure they will have the membership for 6+ months.

They made it right on their end so I will no longer complain about them. I got my money back and mail saying that my complaints were valid.

I wish their app actually worked. The app boasts about it's features and how it tracks your performance. But my app has never worked. Every time I sign on it's always "systems error" and blames my internet connection.

I go to the Clearfield location in Utah. The staff is pretty dang good and I love their class instructors. They have a lot of classes to offer! My biggest complaint is the cleanliness and maintenance of the machines. There will be clumps of hair and dirt in the corners of the rooms or in the middle of the floor as you are trying to work out. The floors need mopped and equipment needs thoroughly wiped down. Patrons will wipe the handles and screens down with wipes but the rest of the machine / equipment is disgusting. The foot rests on the elliptical machines are nasty with other people's sweat drips as are the sides of the treadmills. The bikes in the spinning room are either squeaking, peddles falling off or straps broken. The displays won't light up or don't work on some of the bikes. The mirrors in the big group rooms need cleaned more often so there isn't a residue on them and the floors need mopped! I will take a wipe and wipe down the floor around me just because I don't want to be touching the ground with other people's sweat drips. Overall cleanliness needs to be addressed! It's a newer facility and it needs to be treated like that.

Pretty clean but staff over friendly. I feel like I am stealing every time I walk in there because I don’t hang out with staff enough when I am in there but I get a good workout anyway, Always seems like a party on the front end. Ignoring it out right just makes me fell so guilty about using the place.

I like the prices and convenience of Vasa. I go to the north Orem, UT location. The workers are friendly and even invited me into a free Red Zone class once! The 3.5 stars is because I've had a hard time getting into classes and when I do, I've noticed a few times that the women aren't even following the class, they're doing their own thing. I could have gone to classes if they didn't use up a spot. Also, I got ringworm due to customers not wiping down their dumbbells after class... Gives me the creeps!
