I just heard another Arizona tv 3 On Your Side report, about a woman who was insured by United Healthcare, being billed nearly $1,500 for medical expenses by the medical provider, allegedly covered by United Healthcare. As it turned out, those expenses WERE covered and, eventually, after the poor woman had to jump through about a million hoops to get the situation rectified equitably, United Healthcare finally admitted that the expenses WERE covered under her contract and, under duress from the news agency, ended up paying the bills that were legally covered in the full amount of nearly $1,500. United Healthcare will attempt to take advantage of a naive customer to deny coverage. SO UNETHICAL. Why would anyone in their right mind trust United Healthcare? I certainly won't, and, gentle reader, NEITHER SHOULD YOU!

I have been a customer of UHC for over 20 years With that being said , all was glory, until 12/2017. My son fractured his ankle and it was 200 out pocket (CRUTCHES). FAST FOWARD TO 1/2018, My son broke his fingers sideways at Rebounderz. The hospital used an IPAD with an Ortho on the snip.. They wrapped his hand and xray after each- 9 times! Nothing more or less. The lack of knowledge to help him was obviously not gonna happen, but the IPAD dr demanded rewrap each time . 8970.00 I owe and they did nothing. Still so crooked a wedding ring will nbever go on( maybe a gift?).. but i pay 920 a month for husband and son(50/16 healthy) and i paid 2020.00 every three months. 🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈 Fees of 23360 + deductible of 7500. ====. $30860 23360 + 7500 30,860 Today its 2900.00 every three for me and 980.00 a month for son and hubs. so I pay 30,860 for health insurance and nothing is covered until thats met--PERIOD. And now hospital emergency trips are to be understood that Im on the hook if not and emergency. I have to go to medical school... This is ridic and I have no health issues - and active ...

My mother is in the hospital thay keep coming in asking her if she wanted to go peaceful when it was her time asking multiple times she said she did not understand I have power of attorney the doctor at community east waited untill I left come in while I was gone brought nurses and try to do this again my mother was freak out we new this was pneumonia then after thay sent another in to talk too me i should take her home make her comfortable she was not that sick I know this for a fact so I said I wanted her moved I called the insurance company tryed too get help thay hung up on me thay would not help someone answer finally thay took our name member number What was going on we told them we needed help to have her moved thay did not help thay should be ashamed I believe my mother being in Bad health was left hung out to dry in a attempt to end her life to save the insurance company money after battling for days no with no help from United healthcare At All can say this company is a danger too people who have too many problems the older people are in real danger if along an have no one to help them

On the phone with these outright morons and was transfered 12 times over the course of an hour to different departments just to get a replacement i.d card. I would have done it online, however, their website doesn't work. Tell me how a company this large can be so unbelievably bad at what you do? I can go jump in line at a Chick-Fil-A, place my order and get exactly what I ordered, with a smile and warm greeting the first time around, yet it takes me getting transfered 12 times just to get a dental plan card?!! How in gods name have you all stayed in business this long being this utterly incompetent?!! Cannot wait until open season to drop these fools!!

Despite being with United for 7 years and NOT using my dental benefits, when I finally had to have a cracked tooth crowned and my wisdom teeth out, they denied the whole thing saying it all was unneccessary. The Dentist and Surgeon strongly disagreed. My teeth were rotted and one was cracked. Now they denied the 1st appeal and down graded their payments. UHC - Trust the doctors/dentists. They dont pull teeth for fun. Only when necessary. Nightmare company. Will file another appeal and report back if I am treated appropriately.

This is the worst healthcare insurance. The WORST! They don’t cover anything! I thought the point of insurance is to help cover the cost. My doctors visit, they paid $28 and I have to pay the rest of it, x rays, bloodwork, medication. One visit I paid almost $500 and it’s only a check up. I paid $68 for a cream. Do I really have to experience something catastrophic so they will cover the succeeding bill? What is the point? I know I am not alone in this.

Customer no-service!!! Started @11am, spoke with 4 different reps, finally got one that had a working phone that didn't break up @4pm. At one time was on 3way with my provider and she could only hear every third word. One rep. Constantly interrupting me,not listening to my questions. Would give 0 stars if I could. Not first time,seems to be their theme, be prepared to waste hours talking to them. Am leaving UNH/AARP ASAP!!

Terrible customer service. Most barely speak English and I’ve yet to find them at all knowledgeable. Sounds like they are just ruffling through some manual that takes them a very long time or they keep transferring you to someone else who doesn’t know anything!! Try explaining a prescribed shoe insert??? Got absolutely no where. There monthly explanation of benefits is so confusing and most of the time they show same item for months?? What is that about
