I lead a good size healthcare group that cares for geriatric patients across multiple states in medical areas of need. I have been trying to get our group enrolled into the multitude of UNH plans and have spent days trying to find help at UNH with zero luck. All they provide are several email addresses to reach out, each of which kicks back the email as undeliverable. Anyone I can reach via phone says the only way to enroll the group is through these emails and that there is nobody I can call yet the emails will not deliver??? As someone trying help individuals in rural areas that desperately need the healthcare from our providers yet the insurance company does not have a method for us to enroll these providers. Incredibly frustrating to deal with and am still strugling!

Ridiculously profitable health insurance company that refuses to be reasonable in their business practices with hospitals like Wake Med.

I am paying a high premium and receiving almost no benefits. Their coverage of preventive care is almost nonexistent. They would rather you get sick than prevent it in the first place. I guess if you get sick, they make more money

As a Cancer Patient, my Care right now is very important. It has always been important but right now, especially. UHC has chosen to speak to me and treat me like a dumb incoherent person who doesn't get any respect or dignity. They have called me and harassed me now for such a long time that I have to block their number. The very cruel phone calls are from the bottom 1% of the phone source of most major companies. Why these people are even allowed to call me-harass me-and far worse-RECORD ME-is a matter that The US Government needs to investigate on behalf of all Medicare UHC Members. I cannot be the only person being subjected to their terrorizing me. It is WRONG: 1) To purposely call someone for no reason other than to trap them and harvest their reactions-cause pain and trouble and confusion-record that individual and escalate the call so that there is No good outcome. That is called HARASSMENT. I Am SICK WITH CANCER. PLEASE STOP HARASSING ME! Also nearly EVERY UHC RIDE SERVICE that UHC sets up has fallen through. The UHC Ride Service people apparently are ALL in Ohio. I do NOT live in OHIO nor have I ever. UHC continues keeping a DOUBLE RECORD OF ME. FOR NO REASON. This always confuses the requests I make for much needed rides. The people they send to give me a ride home from MAJOR SURGERY arrive in filthy Zride cabs with mud on the windows-the driver is illiterate not nice and a dangerous driver. Ignoring the "SPEEDING!" Cars automated voice. Nearly flipped the car on the off ramps. Ignored ME asking quite insitently MANY TIMES-"CAN YOU SLOW DOWN PLEASE I JUST HAD SURGERY"--this is exactly who UHC purposely sends to pick me up nearly everytime. These UHC Navigators ignore all my emails. Ignore me asking for support. Ignore my Major Surgery. They appear to only communicate with me on a Friday as they are leaving the Office. Complete refusal to Care and or help. At a certain point I will begin filing FCC Complaints against UHC if they continue harassing me. I am not stupid. Do not call ME and speak to me like I am drugged up and in some nursing home. Like I am deaf. Or cannot speak or understand the very language that I taught as an INSTRUCTOR FOR MANY YEARS. As a highly educated person with a Master's Degree from a top University I am disgusted that UHC continues talking to me as if I am an idiot. This is one of the WORST COMPANIES with No Federal oversight whatsoever. Reckless and very malicious employees with no ethics and no discernable common sense on how you speak to people. Whoever is running this Company is causing constant undue stress and harassment on people like me who are simply trying to live our lives. Please STOP HARASSING ME. And send me CLEAN SAFE DRIVERS LIKE I DESERVE AND THAT THE US GOVERNMENT IS PAYING YOU TO PROVIDE TO ME.

Your company may want to reconsider having US Health Group associated with your company. They do nothing but scam people and cover absolutely nothing!

My daughter has severe UC. Stellara is her third treatment protocol as the two prior drugs were ineffective. The first dose of Stellara is administered via infusion and was approved by CVS. Subsequent doses are given by injection. The day before my daughter was scheduled for her injection, CVS called to deny her medication, which seems to be their MO--waiting to the last minute to deny medication. Our doctor has appealed the denial but it is taking days to get through CVS's paperwork and online filings. Any attempts to use logic with the CVS reps fails--i.e. why was the first dose of the drug approved but the subsequent doses of the same drug denied when it was clear that this was a multi-dose regimen? Why did they wait until the day before the dose to deny the claim? What difference does it make if the first dose is an infusion and the subsequent ones are by injection? It seems that their sole purpose is to deny claims and try to frustrate insureds to the point that they will give up. They totally ignore the patient's need for the meds, particularly when a minimum level of the med must be maintained in the patient's body to be effective. Last-minute denials, transferring calls, 24-48 hours before decisions are made and communicated, appeals, nonsense rules, whatever they can do to make the process unbearably difficult.

Almost every single day for the last year I have received junk mail for Medicare. I have called the company several times to be taken off their mailing list. I do not need, nor want, Medicare as I am a veteran and all my medical, vision, and dental needs are taken care of through the VA. Even one of UHCs that I spoke to was unaware of this and she said her husband and father are veterans. It's sad that I have to education one of your people. My last call was transferred to AARP. The call before that the representative was nothing but argumentative. When I asked for a supervisor she put me on hold for 13 minutes then disconnected the call. And you think I would even consider doing business with a company like this even if I needed/wanted Medicare? You are sorely mistaken.

I am beginning to think that AARP-sponsored products are exactly the kind of bait-and-switch bad buys that the AARP The Magazine writes about. Before starting my AARP Medicare Rx from UnitedHealthcare, I checked to make sure that my sole medication (the lowest possible dose of Losartan, a common and inexpensive blood pressure drug) was covered. It was. I was also on the list of approved formulary drugs for 2019 and 2020 (you'll find it posted on the Internet too). Checking yet again, I was told that it would be covered for 2022. So, when I had the prescription filled on January 20 I got a letter from AARP Medicare RX from UnitedHealthcare informing that the drug was not covered and that they had done me a huge favor by giving me a 30-day refill (a huge favor that, by the way, is part of Medicare rules). When I called customer service, I was told that I would have to file an exception, a process that involves lots of time-consuming paperwork and mailing. If I was buying a sweater, it would be illegal for a company to promise (repeatedly) one thing and then not deliver it. And this is health care. Shame on AARP.
