Terrible customer service they hung up on me twice their transportation dept is awful they sent a car to take me to my eye doctor and took me to wrong address . Now I know why people change their health insurance cos this one is awful

UHC is the WORST health insurance i have ever had. If I had another option right now, i would take it. Have they never heard of a seronegative condition? They would rather their insured end up on disability than approve a treatment they previously responded to. We pay for health insurance so why are we repeatedly denied?! They send EOB in the wrong name. It’s absolutely ridiculous.

They are terrible! It is ridiculous trying to use their app. Changing insurance immediately I’ve had enough of this bullshit.

UHC double billed me for my Part D Medicare Advantage Plan. It was paid by me and also through Social Security deductions. I informed them and they asked me to give them proof. I sent all the receipts and other verification twice and both times I was told they never received anything. The third time I sent registered mail with return receipt. I got the return receipt showing they have received it but I got the same song and dance from them. We never received it. You can’t argue or fight with someone or an organization that is in complete denial. I needed physical therapy last winter but there wasn’t an in network PT center in my area. They said I would have to travel 75 miles over snowy mountain roads for an half hour session at an in network center. I appealed twice. The second appeal was granted for 3 months of PT at the center in my area. I was informed of it 9 days before the 3 months was up. I was told it was my fault for not checking up on it. I checked every week but was told they had never received the appeal. I did get 3 PT sessions in those 9 days which they later denied saying it was never approved. I sent them their written approval twice but guess what , they said they never received it. I believe that their modus operandi is to win by attrition.

A criminal enterprise that tells you one thing then bills you another amount 9 months later.

Absolutely terrible scam artist. You pay so much monthly to have them as insurance. Every single claim I’ve filed through them, they never cover it and I get charged in full. I then have to call them and fight them for months on end to get them to cover what they say they will cover. I just got hit on my credit score from 2022 about a claim they didn’t pay and were supposed to. Now they “can’t find any records” of me having them as insurance during that time. So now I get to pay the hospital a few thousand dollars for a bill from 4 years ago that they didn’t pay like they were supposed to. I currently have them, they didn’t cover my basic doctors appointment like their coverage said they would. The doctors charged me in full and I had to call and fight them for months to cover it. I cannot scream loud enough to RUN as far from this company as possible. They just want your monthly payment and to never cover anything they say they will. You will get stuck paying all of your medical bills in full while also paying them monthly for god knows what. Currently been on the phone with them for an hour being transferred from person to person because nobody knows how to do their job there either. UHC should be ashamed of ruining peoples lives and most likely being the sole reason people don’t get treatment anymore.

I am impressed with how United Healthcare can turn the simplest issue infinitely more complex. They skillfully answer any question except the ones you ask and then provide incorrect information. Every interaction makes me feel as if I’m chatting with a 7th grader from the yearbook committee.

I cancelled my insurance when I got new insurance through work. The guy on the phone was extremely rude and unprofessional.
