United Healthcare changed their PPO plan members to an HMO plan in the system. When they did this in November of 2025, thousands of members lost their coverage and their medical bills were not paid for the remainder of the year. I am one of those members. Several doctors that I had services at in December 2025 contacted me to let me know that United Healthcare is stating that I don't have coverage and my bills will not be paid. My doctors office's also stated that I could be turned over to collections. I called the customer service number and they told me that this will happen to me every year if I change my insurance plan. Sounds illegal to me, and it is. I called back and requested to speak to a supervisor, after holding for 35 minutes someone from India with poor English told me that they would resubmit the claims and they will get paid. I am not holding my breath and I am not choosing United Healthcare for my insurance.

What can I say about a company that decided not to cover people in my state. My state gave an extension to March 31, 2026 with United Healthcare then coverage stops. This is what our country has come to. Buying Greenland makes more sense then taking care of us peons! I no longer view anything on a scale of fairness, because our country is now only the haves and have-nots. Maybe, I'm just waking up to the realization of the truth that people like me are disposable like lint. I realize people only speak-up when it's something that affects their tiny sandbox. Well, I've always helped anyone in need. Regardless of all the stigmas different ethnic groups have been labeled with, I lend a helping hand. My grandparents taught me better. Good luck, to other Americans it's a slippery slope and uncle Sam will not come to your defense! My 2 Senators that represent me are clowns! They're just along for the ride and they rubberstamp anything to agree with the boss! Thanks United Healthcare for waking me up to the truth about America.

I cannot wait for the day my work switches to a different insurance plan. For the past year, I have had constant issues with getting my medications refilled, almost all of which are medically necessary. The real kicker is that they are not even expensive medications! One medication I have been on for 13 years, so I shouldn't be denied and my doctor shouldn't have to give a reason for me being on it. Clearly it's necessary if I've been on it for so long. I have never had this issue with any of my previous health insurances. UHC deserves all of the bad reviews they get.

It is a really bad place no customer service .

Trustpilot should offer a 0 selection. I called customer service (oxymoron), 5 times and was hoping to reaching American. Nope. The ability to reach someone that can speak clear english, and understand it, is basically impossible. Online chat isn't any better. And now UHC has added AI to the start of the call which is pathetic. I gave up. I'm reviewing for yesterday but this is the norm. With all of their negative reviews you would think they recognize they have issues. I wish our current administration would require American based companies to have their customer service in the United States.

If there was a zero I'd give that. Just effin horrible. We are at 12 phone calls and NOBODY there seems to have even the same answer as the previous customer"service" agent ... and all that is if you can understand them. JUST HORRIBLE ... HORRIBLE ... HORRIBLE

After I finished talking to their customer service representative I stayed on the phone to complete the survey as instructed at the beginning of the call but after waiting for about an hour their representative came back and told me that they are not allowed to hang up because they don’t want the customer doing the survey. Absolutely disgusted with United healthcare.

I had to fight to get a much-needed hysterectomy. I got told that I needed to have a barbaric procedure done first, which was not going to do anything for the issue, and did exactly what I told them it would do, and it made it worse. I then got evidence that it was needed, and had the doctor put in ANOTHER prior authorization, I was told it was too early, and that i hadn't filed a second appeal, but I couldn't file a second appeal because the time had passed to file a second appeal. Then they told me I had to do 6 weeks of pelvic floor therapy. If it did anything, it was only going to be a temporary fix. How do you deny someone a hysterectomy, when everything they are having is a chance for cancer and they have already been found to have precancerous cells. It's not like I'm asking for lipo, or breast implants, I'm asking you to remove my tantrum throwing uterus from my body.
