Actually I do not rate United Healthcare even a one star. I renewed my prescription coverage with them this year as last year was great. This year they drastically increased the cost of the drugs I received last year and did not bother to send me any documentation notifying me of that. When I ordered a drug I received last year on line it stated -0-. Then I received alert on my phone I had overdrawn my account as they had charged me an outrageous amount for one month's supply. I spent hours on the phone with them talking to different agents. Was told to send back medicine. I cancelled coverage and told they would not deduct any more premiums. They. have deducted 2 since them. This week called and was told had to fill out disenrollment forms. Never told this before. They have to be faxed and delivered to them. I assumed I was cancelled as I was no longer able to get on site to order medicine and have not done so this year except for the one medicine I returned. Most of the agents could barely speak English and the last one practically laughed at me. I guess they are really desperate for money to steal money from an old person's social security check.

I was just fired from working with this company for over 17 years!!! I DID MY JOB!!! I'm so hurt to be treated this way after working year by year to get a decent wage to be tossed aside like I didn't matter. It hurts!!!

"Buyer Beware". I pay $1200/ year. I am not on Medicare Advantage, where some people pay 0. I leave the country for 60 days at a time, twice a year. I asked United Healthcare for two months' worth of medication. After 90 min on the phone, they would follow up the next day. No surprise that call never came. I called a day later (after being on the phone for two hours, even when their system is working) and was told that their policy is to give only one 30-day supply per year. I asked if I could pay for the medication and then submit the invoices to get paid. Their answer was NO: we don't reimburse members for out-of-pocket costs. That means I will be paying out of pocket for three months' worth of medication each year, and United Healthcare will profit from those three months they aren't supplying my medication. It is a scam run by this insurance company. Come October, I will say goodbye to UnitedHealthcare, and I urge anybody looking for Part D to stay away from this insurance company. They are employing Filipinos to do their customer service. They are very sweet people, and I'm sure it's for the purpose of catching us off guard with their sweetness. They apologize for the company, but the policy is the policy, and of course, they are just the messenger. UnitedHealthcare, be alerted that any seniors who are looking for Part D insurance. "Buyer Beware."UnitedHealthcare is actually AARP, which is supposed to be an advocate for seniors. Don't waste your money joining AARP; they are part of the scam. I never write reviews, but I felt I needed to alert seniors looking for Part D insurance. I intend to take this scam to the CA. Insurance Commission and see what they have to say.

UHC is the worst insurance company I have ever dealt with from a personal and professional experience. They are notorious for sending forms how they offer supportive services and reimbursements when they are like watching a continuous cycle of a train wreck. My husband had double lung transplant surgery and unfortunately, died from receiving badly antibiotic-resistant infected lungs. We traveled out of town and resided there for nearly a year. All the while UHC boasts about Reimbursement Services. My loved one died from the diseased lungs the surgeons chose to use and UHC has done nothing but harass myself and several other families I have met during that time away. I had to pay out of my own pocket for that nearly a year away. Just shy of $28,0000 total. They have made out checks to my dead husband and refuse to reissue the checks to me. Banks and Credit Unions will no longer cash checks due to length of time and names no longer on accounts and I have sent CERTIFIED MAIL documents they have requested ie: Death Certificate, Legal documents etc never to be located at UHC or so they say. Since this ordeal began, our identify also has been stolen twice. They will send checks made out the the deceased, while sending other correspondence to: The Estate of. Check your summary of Benefits too, bc I have noted NUMEROUS errors here too. Get an advocate and hire a lawyer. Have a small group banding now who have been on a nightmare of a journey with me. If you have an option to choose, do yourself a favor and do NOT select this pathetic company and this is not exclusive to UHC Medicare Advantage. Even the pharmacy Dept employees are unprofessional.

United health care seems to farm out their customer service just like all other companies seem to do these days. It is extremely difficult to get an actual customer service representative on the phone and when you do, they act like they are doing you a favor by speaking with you. They are not helpful whatsoever and require you to jump through many hoops to prove your identity; once they finally believe you are who you say you are, they are completely useless in providing you the help that you called in seeking in the first place. Be prepared to waist 3o mins of your day without getting anywhere or anything you need. Good luck and God speed.

This is the worst insurance company I’ve ever dealt with, and I strongly advise others to stay far away. They have a pattern of accepting payment and then canceling coverage shortly after. In addition, they deny claims that should clearly be covered under the policy. Customer service is extremely unprofessiona calls are frequently disconnected, and many representatives seem untrained or unable to provide accurate assistance. I’m warning others to avoid this company at all costs. They are extremely USELESS!!!

United healthcare is by far the worst company I've ever dealt with. Customer service is horrendous very uncaring company agents. Tell you one thing when you sign up and you've come to find out that it's totally untrue. All my costs went up. My cost went up from $10 to rspecialist to $45 everything increase and the coverage decreased. Do not use this company buyer beware
