United Health Care is abysmal. I was considered fully insured, medical, dental and eye care, for which they pay for next to nothing to providers so the charges all come back to you, the person paying a monthly premium. Annual woman’s wellness, they pay $100 to the physician, $35 for a Pap smear, $45 for blood work. Does anybody know a lab that charges $35 and $45 to an insurance company for testing? Yeah, neither do I. So in the end I am charged $500 for uncovered services together with a $600 a monthly policy charge, for a total of $1100 for an annual visit REQUIRED by United Health. On top of that, my doctor is on their ‘preferred physician’ list. The self-pay amount for that visit would have been $250, inclusive of doctor and lab charges. Make it make sense for me. United Health Care is jip joint and should be avoided at all cost.

I reached out to uhc in December to file a complaint against my insulin pump supplier. I was on the phone for several hours while the supervisor, Colin, worked with minimed to resolve the issue. By the time the call ended, everything was supposedly fixed and would be reflected in the March shipment of supplies. Colin gave me his contact info and said to reach back out if there were issues. I half jokingly said that I would be talking to him again in March. We gave our well wishes and hung up. Fast forward to March when what I predicted would happen, did happen. I sent Colin an email letting him know I needed help again. This was the very first part of March. To this day, even after additional calls and requests for contact from Colin, I have heard nothing from him. The person I thought would fight for me, has let me down. Thank you Colin for leaving me to fight for my life on my own.

Garbage. Worthless claim “specialists”. They don’t care enough to question the obvious. My hospital indemnity claim was denied because of a mistake made by the hospital billing department. The idiot claims person didn’t bother to contact me about this or even question why an itemized bill that proves major surgery was billed as outpatient, they just denied my claim and really screwed up my life. It’s currently being disputed. I realize the mistake is the hospital’s, but the claims specialist showed their lack of give a shote when they blew it off without a second thought. I don’t expect that my claim should have been approved with the incorrect codes on the bill, but I do expect the so called specialist to raise question when someone has surgery, is admitted one day and discharged two days later is labeled outpatient. I hope jobs are lost, but I know that won’t happen. They’ll go on to ruin things for many more people.

Awful experience. Long wait times only to speak with service reps.....that can barely speak English. And don't understand their products.

0 stars if it was a choice. Our group plan number changed and my wife and I are locked out of our online portal and app. I have been calling for help since Mar 2nd and have had zero resolve. We will be leaving them April 1st.

Called to ask simple question "do you have discounts for YMCA" Transferred 4 times!!!!!! Still didn't get an answer! Thank goodness I didn't have a big health problem! Obviously they only care about profits and not customer service. It's not a wonder why people are so angry about this company! I pay a ton for health insurance and my deductible is ridiculous. I only have this insurance to protect my assets, they do nothing for me!

They constantly lie, the website gives different information than the people you speak to on the phone. The people on the phone don't know what's going on and they give you bad information. The charges are never what they say they're going to be and they're much higher. They keep covering less and less and charging more and more.

I have severe congestive heart failure, they denied coverage of entresto and Farxiga. I'll probably have to change jobs and make sure the next job does not have united Healthcare.
