When I chose UHC to supplement my Medicare, I was prompted to ensure, through their application, that my PCP contracted with UHC. I was assured she does. On arriving at my annual exam this morning, however, I learned that was not the case. That is a manipulative, deceptive practice.

After dealing with a back injury for 6+ month's and trying everything under the sun, I finally went to see an orthopedic specialist. They ordered an MRI which United healthcare promptly denied. They told me I would need to write a letter with a long list of details and information which I would then need to print and Fax to them. Brilliant piece of BS since nobody has a fax machine anymore. So I paid for a fax ap and sent it to them - crickets. Called and they have no record, sent it again, declined again. Corporate greed like this will be the death of the country, but it will likely be the death of another few million of us first.

United Health Care is, by far, the worst health insurance I've ever had. They are incredibly confusing, dishonest, and greedy. My company offered its coverage last year and I took it because it was much cheaper than Kaiser. I went on the website to create an account and find a primary doctor, but had to abandon the process because it was so complicated. I just avoided going to the doctor all year instead. About a month ago, I went to get tested for STDs as I was in a new relationship. Preventive services were supposed to be completely covered and Planned Parenthood confirmed that this was true. A month later, I received a bill for my copay. Not wanting to deal with the tangled mess that United is, I just paid it. Thankfully, my company realized how horrible United is and dropped them. We now get Blue Shield and I couldn't be happier.

I can't even find a mental health doctor at all with this insurance I called untied health care and they couldn't find a doctor in network so freaking disappointing Im gonna have to find another insurance they really suck

I simply hate this insurance. They never approve anything. I changed to this company thinking I would get better coverage They are the absolute WORST. I have been fighting for a pre authorization approval for 2 months they do not approve anything. This red tape is just too much to deal with. Medicaid patients are getting the worst care and nobody is helping us at all. We’re looked down upon because we have MEDICAID. This new administration has left us to suffer and die!!! I swear I hate this Medicaid crap!

DO NOT GO WITH UHC! These people are awful! I was in a horrendous accident and need care. They refused to continue to pay for my home health and in the middle of my treatment took my home health off their network! They've denied me being able to get back into a skilled nursing facility and denied me going to a rehabilitation center. Their "customer service" is some of the worst agents I've ever had the displeasure of working with and I myself work in customer service. They jerk you around and when you request a supervisor, they refuse to get one on the line. They tell you that they don't have departments when people from those departments call or email you. They agents barely speak English and are very hard to understand.

The experience has been horrible. No one should have to spend hours on the phone and not get anywhere with customer service. They don’t know their own policy.‼️ which is shameful. I had to file a grievance claim for a dental office visit and each time I would call PREFERRED CARE PARTNERS they kept saying I needed to contact solstice, which is the insurance for the dental plan and then when I would call solstice, they would send me back to PREFERRED CARE PARTNERS, and this kept going repeatedly. On 5/28/26 I was on the phone with them back-and-forth for least 7 hours. The last day I called was July 8th it was the same business. Other times they would say that my member ID # belonged to another person. These people have no customer service experience whatsoever. Whoever is running that business is driving the company down into the ground. That have been said the experience with Solstice was another disaster. I DO NOT RECOMMEND SOLSTICE. I’ve been a member of Humana gold plus in the past and they have a very organized ship there so I’m going back to them. Good luck ‼️
