Absolutely horrible insurance. Nearly every claim or service seems to result in a denial, despite the high premiums you pay for coverage. On top of that, you'll spend countless hours on the phone or filing appeals just trying to get the benefits you were promised. This is a frustrating excuse for medical coverage. Instead of providing peace of mind, it creates confusion, stress, and endless administrative headaches. Save yourself the time, money, and frustration. Carrying this insurance card is only an ever present reminder that you were misled into paying for coverage that fails to deliver when you need it most.

Terrible lying insurance!!! Refuse to cover my son’s placement although they say it’s covered. !!!! The facility would accept him. The insurance refused!!!

Uhc is a company that has and abuses the elderly, medicare patients, from corporate ceo to customer service. They also emphasize about being none descriminatory, why emphasize on it if you are not, they have proven with me that they hate Latinos, jews and elderly people, they should be fined and closed. They should change the uhc to jack kevorkian death center, that is what they are doing with us the elders, no assistance just abuse. My mother died due to their negligence 6 1/2 years ago for not authorizing a doctor referral, she had cancer. My wife had major back surgery and they turn right around give her less than 14 days of therapy and think that's enough I would say stay away from United Healthcare they are nothing but a big scam and if they want to give me a call I'll be more than willing to give them my phone number and tell them where to go we've had nothing but denial letters after denial letters after denial letters all thing they're looking out for is the number one their pocketbook instead of the People's Health Care

Absolute nightmare of an insurance company. United's MO is to deny coverage and force prior authorizations that burden the customer and medical community to the point of exhaustion in the hopes of forcing both sides to give up. If you do not have limitless reserves of time, money, and education, it would be an absolutely impossible system to navigate.

I submitted a bill for emergency service provided in Canada. UHC demands an itemized bill, which Canadian Hospitals do not provide. UHC was unwilling to call the hospital billing and never even contacted me to let me know additional information was needed to process the claim.
