United healthcare suck, they don’t cover dental anymore Human covers $2000 per year, united covers cleaning and X-ray then they denied the X-ray, get out they keep cutting coverage to make more money from old people with limited income.

Customer Service is very disorganized, uninformed & basically useless. In the last month, 5 different calls to them, hours spent with Reps who don’t speak clear English, every call they respond as if they see no history of past calls, so you start from zero explaining things, then suddenly disconnected and go to a different rep, who sees no notes from the last 30 minutes you spent on the phone. I can’t even imagine trying to get a serious problem resolved. Mine never was despite almost 4 hours on 5 calls. Waiting for open enrollment to switch and hoping to find a Medicare Supplement & Drug plan company with much better customer service dept.

If I could give them a 0 I would. Should be criminal what they are doing. They will not cover any kind of procedures or medications. This company should be shut down.

I have heard nothing but bad reviews of UHC. In my case, UHC terminated their contract with the only hospital within 30 or 40 miles of my home. I have surgery scheduled for October that I need, so what am I supposed to do now?? The contract termination date is October 1. So, this company pulled the rug out from under me and many others in this area while we are locked into them for all of 2026. I would not reco. this company to my worst enemies. Go elsewhere.

United Healthcare Medicare Advantage plans have a program called "Passport travel benefit." It is advertised as a way to get in-network coverage while a patient is out of state and needs medical care. It is a nightmare for some of us who try to use it. The benefit was suggested to me by a UHC rep who I contacted while looking for help with a needed surgery. I did everything right and in good faith and was approved. On the eve of my surgery everything fell apart. I found that the surgeon & facility were considered out of network because they didn't take care of paperwork that they knew nothing about and that doesn't seem to exist. I spent over 20 hours on the phone only to be told by a corporate UHC person that the Passport program is new and "we're still figuring it out." With all my hours and days on the phone, I spoke to over 30 UHC reps and maybe 3 people knew what the Passport program is. Needless to say, the needed surgery has been cancelled and I feel like the victim of fraud. I have a lot of experience with UHC's incompetence but this is a particularly expensive & devastating experience.

Good evening. My wife went to Walmart in chiefland Florida to sign up for Medicare. She saw a representative her name is Vivian and she told my wife and myself that Humana was not accepting new members at this time. Well I have Humana and today Humana signed my wife on their plan. Vivian who is a representative for Medicare lied to us something needs to be done about representatives who lie to people just turning 65 and is new to Medicare

We had a legitimate emergency room visit for our football player son, and this insurer denied the claim. When you're actually in a medical emergency, you don't get to shop around for an "in-network" ER — you go to the nearest one. Finding out afterward that they won't cover emergency care defeats the entire purpose of having insurance. They do not cover ER at all! If you're considering this company, look elsewhere. Emergency coverage should not be something you have to fight for.
