Don't waste your time and money using this website. If something seems too good to be true then it probably is. I signed up for a FREE account. When it came time to fill out their online rental lease, I paid the $29 fee for the lease. I was stuck on the "signature" page and needed help. I tried contacting them for two days and there was no one on the other end of the "chat." I emailed them several days ago and still no reply. I paid for a lease that I was not able to complete and print. I ended up on another website where I printed my lease for FREE.

I was looking for an apartment in…Wilkes Barre, PA River Street
I was looking for an apartment in Wilkes Barre PA on River Street. The woman asked questions about the tenants that will be residing there. I informed her that they would be coming from a men's half way house environment, and do have SSI & SSD income. The woman stated that they do not accept any individuals from a half way house environment. This is discrimination. Do not go through this site!!

Hi Lynn,
Thank you for reaching out. I want to clarify that TurboTenant is not a landlord or property management company. Independent landlords use our services to help run their rental properties with things like online marketing, rental applications, and tenant screening. Renters can apply to a landlord's property through TurboTenant, but we do not have control over landlords' actions. If you believe there was a Fair Housing violation, to file a complaint, please visit here: https://www.hud.gov/program_offices/fair_housing_equal_opp/fair_housing_act_overview
We are sorry if there was confusion regarding our services. Let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.
Thank you,
Taylor and the TurboTenant Team

TurboTenant actively puts my family in danger
For 6 months, strangers have routinely showed up at my house claiming they were trying to rent it. It turns out, a scammer has been repeatedly listing our address on TurboTenant.com. Every time it’s brought to our attention, we email and turbo tenant says “we have a verification system, but sometimes things sneak through”. I can’t imagine how their verification system works if our address has “sneaked through” over and over again across 6 months.
They claim not to have the ability to block my address from being loaded up on their website, which is absolutely insane. So, we just have to continue to deal with angry people being scammed showing up at our home. We have to deal with telling people that they’re being scammed and convincing them that we’re also victims and aren’t trying to steal their money.
Turbo Tenant is directly putting my family in danger and they claim that all they can do is block the scammers account, until they make a new one and repost the listing.
Turbo tenant does not take fraud seriously. I’m worried constantly that someone is going to show up at my home, angry that they were scammed out of thousands of dollars, and take that anger out in my family.
I hate this company.

Beware
It's a scam! BEWARE
TurboTenant does not have the tenants best interest!
Look at their Better Business Bureau reviews! They have not settled an disputes, and all the complaints are similar.
The Tenant pays for everything that landlords are not obligated to respond, you'll be lucky if the property your interested in is available! TurboTenant wil l refer you the payer to Trans Union if your interested in knowing what your report says. That's if they obtain a report at all. I paid and heard nothing from anyone except for the email from turbo tenant that they charged me and allegedly sent the report to the landlord.
$45 is steep when your paying application fees per landlord.. $45 only covers one landlord. If your interested in other properties you must pay another $45 subsequently! Turbotenant will argue that you should speak with the landlord first before paying. Who's to say they aren't the same source? Turbotenant has no accountability!
Don't use this service! Youn will turn up disappointed! I'm surprised at the reviews below. Theye must all be on. Staff!!

Hi Dean,
We are sorry you feel that our services were dishonest, and we appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts. I do want to use this opportunity to clarify a few things - TurboTenant is not a listing service or a property management company. We provide tools for landlords to use for their rental process, such as screening reports, but we do not control how landlords handle communication with applicants. We always encourage renters to talk directly to the landlord prior to filling out an application and paying the application fee to avoid these situations - if the landlord requested a screening report, the fee is only used for tenant screening services such as a background and credit check through TransUnion.
We are sorry the landlord did not communicate properly with you - the reason our fee is nonrefundable is due to the fact that we pay out of pocket to third party companies. In some cases, if it meets our criteria, we can refund application charges. Please read more about this at the following link where you can also apply for a refund: https://www.turbotenant.com/refund-request/
Hopefully, this clears things up more. Again, thank you for sharing your feedback.
Best,
The TurboTenant Team
