As a parent of a special needs adult child who has been scammed by online cyber crooks, I found the procedure for setting up a True Link debit card account for my daughter very easy, expedient, and stress-free. The friendly and attentive customer service team was immediately available to respond and provide guidance when I ran into a snag. The situation was quickly addressed. This is a company that guardian of people with disabilities can use to help there person. But these people are mostly on a set budget and this card charges a 12 a month fee. Which when signing up I didn't see anything stating that. My guess is they bury it in the very small print. You don't even know til you get charged. Then to make a transfer it took over 10 days for my 1st transfer even went through.

It can sometimes take up to five business days for the first several transfers to become available on a True Link Visa Card. Many financial services companies have similar policies for new accounts, and as the card is used, this timeline typically shortens significantly.
Regarding the monthly fee for the Visa card, we do list the fees on the Card page of our website, as well as in the cardholder agreement that was provided in the last step of the sign-up process, and we appreciate your feedback.
For most people who begin using True Link, the monthly fee is worth it for the unique features and benefits that the card and platform provide, including the spending controls, reporting, real-time alerts, and access to a team familiar with the needs of customers with disabilities. However, we understand that this may not be true for all situations, and we will definitely refund the monthly fee that you were charged if you no longer wish to use the card due to the monthly fee.
