The food is ok, it’s what you would expect for healthy meals. The problem is getting what you ordered. On my 2nd and 3rd box they each had a wrong item. On my 4th box, 5 of the 7 items I ordered were wrong. They doubled up 1 item I ordered, and then it’s like someone just randomly put things in a box for the rest. It’s nice that they give you a refund for the wrong items, but it makes it hard to plan when you place an order, and just don’t get what you ordered.

I really wanted to like Trifecta…
I really wanted to like Trifecta because the concept is great, but the food just didn’t deliver.
The meals I tried were bland, under-seasoned, and some were noticeably dry. The turkey was especially disappointing, and even the marinara had very little flavor. Healthy food does not have to taste like punishment.
For what these meals cost, I expected better texture, better seasoning, and food I would actually look forward to eating. Instead, I found myself avoiding them altogether.
Great idea. Poor execution. I’d rather cook simple high-protein meals myself than pay premium prices for food I don’t enjoy.

Thank you for giving Trifecta a try and for sharing your honest feedback. We understand that convenience only goes so far if the food itself is not something you genuinely enjoy eating.
Our meals are designed around specific nutritional goals, but we agree that healthy eating should still be flavorful, satisfying, and enjoyable. We’re disappointed that the meals you tried, particularly the turkey and marinara, did not meet that standard for you.
Taste and texture are subjective, and we know Trifecta will not be the right fit for everyone. That said, feedback like yours is valuable because it gives our culinary team specific areas to evaluate, including seasoning, moisture, and texture.
We appreciate you giving us the opportunity to earn your business, even though we ultimately fell short of your expectations. We wish you the best with your own meal preparation and appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.

I was very briefly a customer recently…
I was very briefly a customer recently and here is why…
-my food arrived FROZEN…solidly frozen….every meal in the box. One of the reasons I went with them is because it was cooked fresh and then “deep chilled”. So I reached out to customer service immediately to clarify if it is in fact frozen…maybe I misunderstood. They told me it was deep chilled and that sometimes the freezer packs can freeze a meal or 2. Wrote back again to question that because I’m not new to meal delivery and never had food freeze like that with those packs…again denied freezing it, just deep chilled. So I go digging through the website again and tucked way back in…it does say they are frozen! So frozen and customer service lied.
-the food was super disappointing, especially for the price. The pork was chewy, a couple of the meals were soupy (provided cause they were frozen)
-If you are a first time subscriber plan to be stuck with their food for 2 weeks. The day your first box is delivered, the next week meals renew that night, so you don’t get a chance to really even try the food.
The only good thing is if you aren’t happy with the first box they will reimburse, so at least they do that!

We’re sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. However, we do want to clarify a few points in your review so there is no misunderstanding about how our subscription works.
When you placed your first order on August 19, you enrolled in a **weekly recurring subscription**. This was not a one week trial subscription. During checkout, our recurring subscription terms are presented and require a checkbox to be selected before the order can be completed. By completing checkout, the weekly recurring nature of the subscription was acknowledged.
You also had access to your account immediately after placing your first order and could have skipped the following delivery at any time. Your first order was placed on August 19, and the cutoff to skip the next delivery was August 28, giving you **10 full days** to make that change if you intended to receive only one box.
The second shipment therefore was not automatically unavoidable, nor were you required to remain subscribed for two weeks. Customers can skip or cancel upcoming deliveries through our support team or manage available skip dates through their account before the applicable cutoff.
Regarding the food temperature, our meals are prepared, packaged, and flash-frozen prior to shipment. Doing so helps protect the food as it ships in the summer heat to your doorstep. Depending on the specific meal and its location within the box, as well as the weather conditions outside, some meals can arrive partially or completely frozen. We understand that this may not have matched your expectations based on your interpretation of "deep chilled," but the condition of the meals upon arrival does not mean they were mishandled during transit.
We also want to clarify that our customer service team was attempting to explain this chilling process when you contacted us. We do not agree with the characterization that our team "lied" to you.
We respect that the food itself was not to your taste, and we appreciate the feedback regarding the pork and meal consistency. However, we believe it is important to distinguish dissatisfaction with the product from the terms of the subscription that were presented and accepted when the order was placed.

Trifecta Nutrition's service (and food) are terrible!
I tried Trifecta for several weeks, and ended up not being satisfied with the food. I cancelled my account by their prescribed method - emailing (which they confirmed they received, and responded that they didn't know my name or email - even though they had it from my email message itself). They are saying they could only see like an Apple ID - which is no method I have ever used for logging in anywhere. Never, and they just talk over my head about it. Furthermore, my service stopped for 6 weeks. Why wouldn't I think my account is closed? Who wouldn't? After 6 weeks, while out of town I received not one but two boxes!!! They are still sitting on my front porch rotting. I'm mortified not only they they act like this was my fault somehow when I cancelled in good faith, stopped receiving their product, then all of a sudden received two boxes (the second one was processing before I even realized what was happening). I'm now out the cost of $243.82 (the price of 2 boxes) because they won't refund me for food I didn't order from an account that they clearly should have cancelled.
It's also important to note that the food is not great. Every meal tastes essentially the same and extremely bland. Furthermore their customer service members are rude and condescending, Trent and Dave.
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH TRIFECTA!
In response to the company reply below:
1. They acknowledge my cancellation request.
2. My shipments STOPPED. For 6 weeks. Who wouldn’t assume Trifecta did their job?
3. Suddenly charges and boxes appear after this time period.
Please also notice the tone and demeanor in their response. For as abrupt and “consumer blaming” as it is here, they are much more rude and condescending directly one on one.
AGAIN: DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH TRIFECTA

Hi David,
We’re sorry to hear that you were dissatisfied with your experience, but we want to clarify several important points in your review so that readers have an accurate understanding of what occurred.
You do have a Trifecta account, and we provided you with documentation confirming this. We shared a screenshot of your account dashboard showing the subscription, as well as the Apple Private Relay email address associated with the account. Your account was created using Apple’s “Sign in with Apple” feature. When a customer uses this option, Apple generates a Private Relay email address that conceals the customer’s personal email address from the business. This is an Apple privacy feature that Trifecta does not control.
We also explained to you how to access this account: by selecting **“Continue with Apple”** when logging in, rather than attempting to log in with your personal Gmail address. The fact that your Gmail address does not independently locate the account does not mean the account does not exist. We provided you with the information necessary to access the account and showed you the account dashboard associated with your Apple ID.
More importantly, when you first contacted us after hours on June 24th requesting cancellation, you emailed us from your Gmail account (not associated to your Trifecta account nor did that email contain any identifiable information - No name, no subscription number, no phone number, or any other identifying information that would allow our team to locate the account. We replied to that email the following business day, specifically requesting additional information so we could identify your subscription and assist with the cancellation. We did not receive a response to that message, though we do see that our email successfully landed in your inbox without bouncing back.
It is also important to distinguish between skipping deliveries and canceling a subscription. Your subscription remained active during the weeks in which deliveries were skipped. Skipping an order does not deactivate the underlying subscription, and subsequent orders can therefore be generated when the subscription resumes.
As soon as we were able to identify your account, we deactivated the subscription. We also explained that one final order had already entered processing and could not be stopped at that point.
We understand that you are unhappy with the outcome, but we cannot characterize these orders as unauthorized or as orders generated from an account that did not exist. The account did exist, we provided you with documentation identifying it, and our records show that we responded to your initial cancellation request and asked for information needed to locate the account. Unfortunately, we did not receive the requested information or a follow-up from you at that time. It was only when you emailed us this week that you provided us with your first and last name, to which we were then able to locate an account to deactivate.
We have thousands of customers who are very happy with their Trifecta experience, and we’re proud of the service and meals we provide to them. We recognize that Trifecta may not be the right fit for everyone, and we respect your decision not to continue with our service. However, we believe it is important to correct the record when statements suggest that we ignored a cancellation request, that no account existed, or that we had no way of responding to your request.
We remain committed to treating our customers fairly and transparently, and we’re always willing to address concerns directly.

I needed assistance with my account and order
I needed some assistance yesterday and have to say the customer service was excellent. I use and have used other meal services and customer service is not always very good. Dave was great! He walked me through what I needed, was patient while I picked my meals and got the order completed all with a friendly conversation. I'm all about relationships and how a company/associate treats you and Dave was a 10 out of 10!

There are better options out there.
I was a customer of Trifecta in 2017-2018, just a few years after they opened. I was genuinely impressed with the food, both in taste and quality, and their customer service was stellar.
Fast forward to today, nearly 10 years later, and my wife and I canceled after our first batch of meals. The food is pretty terrible. That's the only honest way to describe it. My wife couldn't even finish two of the meals, and I only finished them because we paid good money for them.
The meals were bland, the chicken was dry, the rice was undercooked, and one of the meals had a strange, grainy texture that neither my wife nor I could pinpoint.
I'm only giving it two stars instead of one because we received our meals on the scheduled date without errors. If this was a review strictly about the food, it would be one star all day long.
There are better options out there.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and for giving Trifecta another try after being a customer in our early years.
We're disappointed to hear that your recent experience did not live up to the standards you remembered. Food preferences are certainly subjective, but hearing that multiple meals were bland, dry, or had texture issues is feedback we take seriously, especially from someone who previously enjoyed our products.
We appreciate you pointing out that your order arrived on time and as expected, though we understand that reliable delivery alone does not make up for a disappointing dining experience.
As we've grown over the years, our goal has remained the same: to provide convenient, nutritious meals made with high-quality ingredients. We recognize that we didn't meet your expectations this time, and feedback like yours helps us continue evaluating and improving our recipes and preparation methods.
Thank you again for sharing your experience. We wish you and your wife the very best in finding a meal service that's a better fit for your tastes.

Bad taste - both the meals and customer service
1) meals have a bland taste and seems like they use the same spices for everything and it's just wrong.
2) BRAND new customer, i literally just signed up, and didn't realize their cut off time was the day after I signed up and I am out of the state the day they deliver the food (which is 1+ week ahead of time). I immediately contacted customer service to try to put a stop on the order. They said "NOPE" and "since you're away, have a friend or family take your food". Such crap customer service. I've tried numerous other meal delivery services and they always find a way to accommodate unexpected scheduling issues as an ESTABLISHED customer... so I expected at least some flexibility for a new customer.
3) try Cook Unity or ANYTHING besdies this service.

We understand the frustration of missing a cutoff deadline and having an order arrive during travel plans. However, we also believe it’s important to provide full context for readers, especially as the same complaint is now being reposted across multiple review platforms.
The central issue here was not a refusal to assist a customer or a lack of willingness to help. The request to stop the shipment came four full days after our posted cutoff deadline, after the order had already entered fulfillment and carrier processing. At that stage, we no longer had any physical ability to cancel, intercept, or reroute the shipment.
Perishable meal delivery operates on extremely tight production and logistics timelines. While some services may occasionally accommodate requests made shortly after cutoff, a request made several days afterward is simply beyond what most operations can realistically reverse.
Our representative’s suggestion to have someone retrieve the package was not dismissive; it was the only remaining practical option available once the shipment could no longer be stopped.
We certainly respect every customer’s right to share their experience publicly. At the same time, repeatedly posting the same complaint across multiple platforms does not change the underlying facts of the situation or the logistical limitations involved.
As for the meals themselves, taste is subjective. Many customers enjoy our meals and nutritional approach, though we understand they were not a fit for this customer’s preferences.
We’re sorry the experience did not meet expectations, but we also want prospective customers to understand this situation stemmed from a missed cutoff timeline rather than an unwillingness from our team to help.

I ordered steak and both times they…
I ordered steak and both times they sent me rice each time. When I asked for a refund, they refused.
Response from TrifectanutritionApr 1, 2026
Hi Elise,
We take concerns like this seriously and want to ensure everything is accurately represented.
After reviewing your account and order history, we were unable to find any instance where steak was selected, charged for, or included in your orders. Because of this, there was no charge for steak to refund. All itemized receipts are available in your account for review at any time, and we’re also happy to provide copies directly if needed.
It appears there may have been a misunderstanding regarding the items selected in your weekly order. Our support team reviewed the request thoroughly and responded based on the actual order details, which is why a refund was not issued. In other words, we cannot refund something you were never charged for.
We always aim to be fair and transparent, and we stand by both our billing accuracy and the way our team handled this situation. That said, if you’d like us to walk through your orders with you step-by-step, we’re more than happy to help clarify.
