Got a Rail 7 & Powerfly 4 last year. That’s nearly £10’000 worth of Trek product. Done less than 300 miles. Powerfly- Wheel buckled, 12 punctures, gears never worked properly, pedal fell off and whole crank needed replacing, new chain set required on first service. Rail- new chain set required on first service. If your looking to buy a quality product, evidence would suggest this is not the brand to go for. We contacted Trek customer services to inquire about the poor build quality and several weeks later they have not responded. As we have not heard anything, and in light of this experience, we feel this should be shared so that anyone looking to purchase a Trek product knows that the stability and quality of what they are potentially investing in is likely on par with a rusty baked bean can. CAUTION ADVISED. We are talking about this companies higher spec models. If these are performing as they are for the price, we certainly wouldn’t recommend going off road with some of the more budget counterparts. If nothing else, it would be quite unsafe and even dangerous. Thanks for reading.

Todo ok, buen trato

I første omgang - da vi skulle købe vores cykler fik vi virkelig god service. Det ændrede sig dog da vi kom til 1. sikkerhedstjek af cyklerne efter en måned. Jeg påpegede et par ting, bl.a. at kablerne sled lakken af, og at styrbåndet var gået løst efter en måned. Vores ekspedient frasagde sig alt ansvar, fordi de fik jo bare cyklerne hjem og samlede dem fra deres producent. Der var ingen forståelse. Da vi hentede cyklerne kommenterede de på at vi havde skiftet dæk på begge cykler, da vi fortalte at det havde vi gjort fordi vi punkterede konstant, fortalte ekspedienten at de dæk der sad på var slet ikke gearet til de danske veje, de var alt for tynde. En helt igennem dårlig oplevelse at være til service, og vi kommer HELT sikkert IKKE igen. Vi finder et andet sted at få serviceret vores cykler.

Exactly the same as previous person reported lovely radiant red paint on a marlin 8 but chips at the smallest knock straight down to bright white primer. Frame looks awful in short time

Bought a trek marlin, finish on frame looks amazing but chips very easily. Way to easily marked😕

First of all, the personnel at my local Trek store is always very friendly. I often walk in as I love to see the new mountainbikes in person. They always greet me by my name and offer me coffee or something. The service is more than great, they always take thier time to help me. Every single item they sell is of great quality (including the bikes). Only reason its not 5 star: last month I came by to bring in my mountainbike for its time-to-time checkup. I bought some new parts and asked them if they could put them on the bike for me, which they kindly did! Only when i came back to pickup my bike the next day, one of the mechanics told me that the new brake disc rotor i bought did not fit my bike as it was “too big”. He told me he had spend an hour trying to get it to fit, but without success. Stubborn as i can be; I went online and bought the brake extender that I thought would fit my bike. First try, and my new disc brake was installed. Conclusion: I am a bit disappointed that the “professional” mechanic of Trek told me it wasn’t possible, and I myself got it to fit on the first try. Anyway, amazing company. I would never buy a mountainbike that isn’t from Trek!
