Per the agreements, the initial estimate is based solely on the information and inventory provided by the customer at the time of booking. Top Tier Moving Group’s binding estimate is determined by that inventory list and the services requested. By law, once the foreman arrives, a physical walk-through of the actual inventory and required services must be completed. Any adjustment in price would only occur if additional items or services are required that were not previously disclosed. Our records indicate that upon arrival, your shipment exceeded the original estimated volume by approximately 300–400 cubic feet. At that time, the crew was unable to proceed with the move at your request and were sent away. While we understand your frustrations, our agents further acted within the scope of our role as a moving coordinator and made several attempts to reach an amicable resolution. We have not received further communication or correspondence from you since July 10th but remain more than willing to address any additional questions or concerns you may still have. Top Tier Moving Group’s binding estimate is determined by the inventory and services provided by the customer at the time of booking. This estimate is subject to change, per our terms, if additional items or services are added, in accordance with the agreed-upon rate per pound and/or cubic feet. Our agreements are designed this way and further explained at booking to ensure transparency and prevent any misrepresentation or ambiguity with our services. Additionally, while we facilitate the selection of licensed, bonded, and insured carriers to transport household goods, we do not physically handle the items ourselves. All claims or requests for further compensation related to property damage, additional charges, or delays must be pursued with the carrier; however, we do provide guidance and assistance in submitting these claims. While we regret that your experience was overwhelming, we encourage all customers to contact our customer service team at the time any adjustments are presented so that we can review the charges, explain the process, and provide real-time guidance.
