Top Tier movers are criminals
Top Tier movers are criminals. Last year I needed to move from California to Pennsylvania. They quoted me a price of a little over $3000. I did a walk through of the house and garage and told them everything I had, including a gas welding oxygen and acetelyned tank. I told them that I a had a 22 rifle. I had a total of 14 medium size boxes of stuff, plus a bycicle. When the driver 3 crew driver showd up they told me they could not take the welder because it had gas, but if I gave them a $400 tip and drained the acetyline they would make an exception and take it. The stuff was supposed to arrive one week after they picked it up. Three months later they finally delivered. Supposedly I had 13 items, including a wooden circular planter that was not mine and I had no use for. The box that contained the 22 rifle was missing, but I did not realize that until after the delivery truck left. A lot of other stuff was missing, including everything in the box where I put the 22 rifle. The parking lot of the apartment where I moved was about 50 feet from my front door so they charged me an additonal $500 for "long carry". They added another few thousand in additional charges for various excuses, so the 3 thousand dollar quote ended up costing over $8 thousand. They added all the extra charges at the last minute after I had already made arrangements and it was too late to make other arrangements. These people should be in jail because they are con men and thieves.

We are sorry to hear about your dissatisfaction with your experience, and we take all concerns regarding service and billing seriously. After reviewing our records, we would like to clarify several important points. Our agreements and pre‑move documentation clearly outline prohibited items that federal regulations do not allow carriers to transport, including flammable or pressurized tanks and firearms. These restrictions are communicated before booking, during the walkthrough, and again on the bill of lading. Drivers cannot legally transport these items, and no employee is permitted to negotiate exceptions or request personal payments. If such a situation occurred, we ask that you contact our office directly with documentation so we can investigate. Regarding delivery timing, the contract signed at booking specifies that all long-distance dates are estimates. Transit times can vary based on distance, weather, Department of Transportation regulations, and carrier routing. Additional charges—such as long-carry fees, inventory adjustments, or service-level changes—are also outlined in the contract and apply only when the items or conditions at pickup differ from the initial inventory. Updates are always documented on the bill of lading and acknowledged at the time of service. Our records indicate the move was scheduled in June of last year, and we have no record that these claims were brought to our attention at pickup or delivery. Had we been notified, we could have provided claims instructions for any missing or damaged items, as well as guidance on addressing any overages with the assigned carrier. As a broker, our role is limited to routing and scheduling; we do not physically handle items. We encourage filing a claim to allow a full investigation based on inventory records and carrier documentation. We remain available to provide further clarification or additional information and are committed to resolving legitimate concerns through the proper channels. Please contact our office directly to proceed.
