There were additional charges for a repair which was covered under their warranty and not disclosed upfront. My warranty repair was approved and return shipping was included at the time I submitted the repair request. After the bag was received, they wanted to charge me $50 USD just to return my bag, which is almot as much as it cost me to buy it and very unreasonable in terms of cost to ship. I like the products but a big draw is the lifetime warranty and this experience taints that whole perk for me. After 10+ years of buying Timbuk2 bags, I sadly will be finding another brand moving forward.

Thank you for being a loyal Timbuk2 customer for over 10 years! We truly appreciate your continued support and the opportunity to help keep your bag going strong. We're glad to offer approved warranty repairs at no cost. For international customers, return shipping fees do apply, with details and rates available on our shipping page. We understand the importance of knowing these costs upfront and apologize for any confusion. We appreciate you sharing your feedback, as it helps us improve how we communicate shipping costs and make the repair experience as smooth as possible.

Timbuk2 Customer Service is top notch and so is there lifetime warranty- I’ve been a customer for years and one of my oldest bags (20+ years) finally saw its last day and they held true to their promise and replaced the bag. 🫶

I got my messenger bag in 2012 and have loved it ever since. It had gotten some rips over time, but in the last year the lining really started to deteriorate. It was WAY past warrantee, but I figured it couldn't hurt to reach out to Timbuk2. What happened next was the best product experience OF MY LIFE. Not only was the process straightforward and really clear at all stages, it was ridiculously inexpensive (complete repair for $25 INCLUDING SHIPPING). I just got my bag back-- WEEKS faster than they estimated-- and it's good as new. I cannot say enough good things about my bag, the repair experience, and the brand generally. Can't wait for my next 14 years with this bag!
