Do NOT Thriveworks if going through insurance
Do NOT use this company if you are not paying cash for all sessions. Customer Support has no clue what they’re doing and will not resolve any issues. They kick the problem down the road without ever having a resolution. Horrible billing issues. They have stolen over $500 and no one at customer support is helpful. We’ve had billing issues for 1.5 years unresolved! Back in 2023, we paid cash for services due to our insurance being out of network. Please once we were in-network, they retro billed Aetna for the services we paid cash for and were told we would be reimbursed for the difference between our co-pay and what we paid out of pocket within 45 days. Those 45 days came and went. Thriveworks claimed they sent the funds but could not provide any tracking number. Wellsfargo says they never got the funds but Thriveworks insists they sent it even though they can’t produce any details as to when it was sent or financial tracking numbers. Fast-forward to October 2024, our insurance changed from Aetna to Blue Cross Blue Shield. When Aetna denied the claim because the coverage expired, I called Thriveworks to provide the new insurance information. SAME thing happened where they were supposed to refund the different between the cash payment and the co-pay. Never saw that refund. They charged us cash again for the most recent visit so we called support AGAIN to get it fixed. Thriveworks first said they submitted the claim in October and were waiting for insurance to process. Called BCBS, they never got the claim. Called Triveworks back again and the story changed to they JUST submitted the claims today. The customer support staff are all clueless and don’t know what’s going on, who needs to do what, and can’t provide you with any answers to any questions. HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED!
