Thought it was easy to find a therapist & use my insurance
Thought it was easy to find a therapist, schedule the appointment, and use my insurance! I did an online therapy appointment, and it went smooth. Felt comfortable talking to my therapist openly about my anxiety/stress. Would book again!

The Therapist was terrible
The Therapist, Taylor, is gay, but. She would be texting her lover continuously throughout my sessions, as if she didn't care if I was there at all, she never offered me any helpful advice on how to fix my relationship, only told me that I should get a divorce. Then during my next session she starts hitting on me. Very unprofessional and a bit creepy I might add , as far as billing went, they couldn't even get that right either , very frustrating experience

This company is a scam
This company is a scam. The psychiatrists do not have degrees. Do not fall for this scam. Imagine scamming people with mental health issues 😂😂😂 I can tell you this will not end good for the company

Aggressively Money Motivated
Thriveworks needs to recalibrate its cadence for new potential clients. The branding reading "Appointment Availability Changes Daily!" and "Book Now!" is irksome in that it appears to "mill" new clientele to appointments without a consultation process or ensuring that patient and clinician are a fit.
The fact that a Thriveworks rep and not the clinician directly are your first point of contact feels highly impersonal, and it all gives the impression that Thriveworks would rather *sell* appointment slots than serve its customers.

strongly caution any parent considering this practice
I am deeply disappointed with Thriveworks' irresponsible handling of my child’s diagnosis and their complete lack of responsiveness to my concerns. I sought help for adjustment difficulties related to a life transition, yet after just one short visit, the provider misdiagnosed my child with Major Depressive Disorder (MDD)—without justification or proper communication.
I immediately reached out to request a correction or explanation. Despite sending five emails to the provider, I received no response. I then escalated my concern, requesting supervisor involvement, but after four follow-up calls, I still had no resolution. To this day, after a month of trying, I have yet to be contacted by someone.
This level of negligence is unacceptable, especially when dealing with a child's mental health. MDD is a severe, chronic condition characterized by persistent sadness, loss of interest in activities, and significant impairment in daily functioning, not appropriate for a child coping with a specific life change. Misdiagnosing in this way risks stigma, unnecessary treatment, and long-term consequences in medical records, schooling, and insurance.
Providers should not have the freedom to make careless diagnoses and then ghost concerned parents who seek clarification and correction. The goal of treatment, in this case, should be to foster resilience, teach coping mechanisms, and improve communication skills—not to wrongly label the child with a severe mood disorder that may follow them in medical records and impact future care.
Mental health providers must diagnose responsibly and communicate openly with parents to ensure the best care for the child.
I would strongly caution any parent considering this practice. If you care about ethical and transparent mental health care for your child, look elsewhere.
