I do not recommend Thriveworks. I was never sent a meeting link leading up to the meeting time as I was told would happen, so I called them to get it sorted. I called their call center who took a whole 10 minutes to send me the link, and then when I joined, my psychiatrist seemed irritated that I was late, despite my explanation and apology. Their camera was low quality, they were not cordial, there were people talking in the background, and they even leaned out of frame for a whole 30 seconds in the middle of my answer to a question. I was not given any satisfactory answers to any of my clarifying questions about symptoms, and because of my confusion about what was being asked, was almost diagnosed with bipolar disorder when (after seeing other LPCs and Psychiatrists) I'm quite certain I don't. Unsatisfactory experience bordering on dangerous.

DO NOT GO HERE! They only care about money. I missed 1 appointment in a year because my counselor emailed me when I got my days mixed up due to recent memory issues caused by Lyme disease and they charged me $165.00. Now they replied to my post and act like they care but I've already shown proof of my recent health issue and still don't care. ALL ABOUT $$$$

Thriveworks has been a great option for online counseling services. I have had the pleasure of working with two counselors, one for individual and one for marriage counseling. Our marriage counselor Amber Myers-Mackey was exactly what we have needed for so long. She has been amazing to work with and has helped us save our marriage. Ambers approach to understanding and seeing through surface issues to get to the core issues has really helped our marriage to see and understand one another. If you are looking for someone who is direct, honest and no sugar coating she is the one for you! We both love her, feel comfortable with her and and are very grateful for all of her help with us. Highly recommend Amber!!

As a parent--I am deeply disappointed and outraged by the unethical practices of Thriveworks. My experience with this online therapy company has been nothing short of a nightmare. Initially, I was quoted a reasonable rate, which seemed fair for the services promised. However, I was shocked when they tripled the charges without any prior notice. To make matters worse, just a couple of days later, I was charged again. Despite multiple communications where I provided the requested information, which they repeatedly asked for, there was no resolution. They claimed to have waived the additional fees, but I have yet to see any refunds or adjustments to my account. It is appalling that takes advantage of individuals who are already in vulnerable and desperate situations. Their deceptive practices and lack of transparency are unacceptable. I strongly advise against using their services. This company should be held accountable for their unethical behavior.

I spent 30 minutes getting an appointment and providing all insurance and personal information. The appointment was over a week away. I got an email notification two hours before my appointment stating my appointment was canceled. I got another email one minute later while on the phone asking why my appointment was suddenly canceled. I asked why are you in my insurance provider's list, and why did you cancel my appointment 2 hours before my appointment without contacting me. You have had more than enough time to get the information. I logged in to my account the night before to make sure nothing was pending and nothing was pending is what it showed. I said I don't do business with people like you, I would not let you counsel my dog!!! I don't even have a dog, maybe I should get one, might be better than Thriveworks!!!

Great therapist! Nice representatives. However, someone is not doing their job when it comes to training. Please make sure you have the patience and mental health to deal with their billing department, and whoever creates accounts needs more training. I’ve had 2 billing issues with this place (in less than 3 months) and it’s always the same issue blah blah blah no insurance even though I have insurance. Then I have to wait for a refund because they charged my account regular price. I’m never credited the overdraft fee charged from my bank either.

I had a few questions for your customer service representative . She either didn’t know or just wouldn’t tell me. I asked to speak to someone who could and she completely told me I could not speak to a supervisor . She might need some direction on future calls. First of all I never received my link to my appointment . I called in and she offered to send it to me. However she resented my asking for a supervisor( in fact she told me she couldn’t and wouldn't) and told me to call back in and someone else could send it to me. I asked her is this normal not to receive the link in a timely manner? I would imagine 24 hours to be timely. When I asked her why I never received it when do you guys usually send them ( an hour a day whatever) because this has been the 2nd time I had to call for the link in I believe as many appointments. If you are not in the habit of sending them you shouldn’t charge a missed appointment fee. Also your answering machine says to hold if you have any other questions and then keeps returning you back to the prompts. You did Not respond to my satisfaction because you don’t and have not sent me the link in any of the reminders. According to my Dr many of her patients are telling her the same thing. You also never addressed the experience I had with your customer service rep

Absolutely awful company with a fanstically awful billing department. I've never had a worse experience. (To update this review and reply to ThriveWorks response, they offer to work on it publicly and in reviews but their actual billing department is helpless and won't even call you back. Despite offering them multiple opportunities to correct their incorrect billing of my insurance they've failed each time and have consistently dropped the ball. I cannot recommend this business, and frankly I'm surprised they're still /in/ business.)
