Thrifty Car RentalReviews of thriftyuae.com

Recently got back from a trip where I used thrifty for a car rental service in LA. I booked it thru t mobile and already paid about 163 for it. But that didn’t included fee so I ended up being charge again pick up total about 116 That 116 break down as below fee is 60 plus gas. the car reserved is nissan versa which only hold 10 gallon. 60 of gas at 4.20 per gallon is 14.28 gallon (scam). I also return the car at 1 quarter tank so they either really bad at math or they rip off the customers.

Such a bad experience. First took 40 mins to find location. After that the car booked was not delivered and offered 5 seater for a 6 people family. When given 7 seater van instead of suv, charged $120 + tax for something which they fail as commeited. I reached the locatio. After 1 hr of time expectibg the vehicle to be ready. But it was otherside, they did not have the vehicle at all. Fun part is they got a car from Dollar and charged me with a sign on an agreement which i was not know I will be charged. What an expereince. If yoy need one.. just book Thrifty. :)

I rented a car from the Indianapolis Airport through thrifty and Was paying monthly for it and after they took the money out over $1700 on 19 June they reported it stolen on 20 June luckily the police seen my receipts from where they took the money out of my account and they didn’t file charges so obviously they knew what they were doing I will never ever ever again rent from them they are horrible their customer service is awful and they try to get people in trouble

I reserved a car with Thrifty rent a car at O'Hare airport. When I got to the rental center they were the only company with a line. After waiting two hours, I finally got to the counter and I was told that they were out of cars and as they came back from a previous rental I could get one. I was offered an upgrade to a minivan and I could have it right away, for $30 extra a day. I declined and waited. After talking with several other customers, since we were all there for 3 hours, it seems that upgrades were available to certain people and they got cars right away. If I hadn't prepaid for the car I would have canceled since the other rental companies had cars available. It was a horrible way to start a vacation

i will never rent from this company again. i rented a car for a week and was scheduled to return the car at 5am in the morning now i`m told they will not be open my flight home is at 7am at lga airport . if i knew this i would have made other arrangements now i`m stuck taking the car back at 1 am and sitting in the airport for 6 hours . my advice to anyone thinking of renting from them don`t do it

We rented a car through Expedia with This car rental company. Paid in full. When we got to the counter after a hour wait we were asked to put a $200.00 or a $500.00 hold on a credit card and were told by the woman that they were going to run my credit.?. Run my credit for what? When I asked the woman why she did not answer. And a hold on a credit card that’s so expensive? Hotels only put a $1.00 hold on rooms. When I started to question this and told them we will never use this crap service again the lady told me o made here uncomfortable. Then I expressed my feelings to the manager she told me that she can cancel the order right now.. and told me I was aggressive… If you are thing about using this crap rental company please save yourself the time and aggravation! They don’t have a damn clue about customer service and don’t care what you think! And the car had garbage under the seats, and a old Starbucks cup with liquid in it!!! This was at the Seattle airport!!

It all started with the lady at the counter being extra rude. The car I reserved was no longer available (I was a day late to pick it up, night before I was told it wouldn't be a problem by customer service). I paid an extra $25 a day for a premium car which I had to wait 1 1/2 hour for. I returned the car on the at 2:00pm on the return date, there were no attendants available to check in the car. I was told by same employee that turned the car over to me to just leave the keys in the car and the receipt would be emailed. Almost 10 hours later and I still have not recieved a receipt. The attendant's excuse (legit) excuse was that he was doing the job of three people.

RUN, don't walk away from these people. Rented a car from Thrifty, Prepaid the rental to the tune of $534...when they didn't have the car available, AFTER a hour and a half wait in DFW, I was told, "Sir, either step away from the counter or deal with the police" Upon arrival, Thrifty counter was closed, so was directed to the Dollar rental counter, for that nice hour and a half wait. I had receipts from the online reservation showing the prepaid amount " Prepaid if Full" Cars were available but not my car. I had to go to National Rental and pay again, ( great service by the way...) for my rental. I disputed this charge on my AMEX card and Thrifty is still saying the reservation was honored. What a joke of a company.
